Great game. Excellent performance by team USA but I think Canada got the better of the high quality scoring chances last night. We had our chances to win it and Binnington made the saves he had to make. USA was sloppy defensively and we really missed McAvoy and Hughes. Two guys chased the puck and left McDavid all alone. Yes. The World Cup of Hockey is coming back in 2028. Between a commitment to the Olympics and World Cup we will be on an every 2 years cadence with international best on best tournaments. The 4 Nations Faceoff is one and done unless the NHL backs out of the Olympics or the World Cup folds. I firmly believe Thursday will be a rematch. Can't see the Fins beating Canada but they played tough against Sweden and Sweden gave Canada a game. Saturday night was fun but it will be a bitter pill if we lose the rematch during the game that actually matters. We will have a home ice advantage on Thursday. Goaltending and defense has been the difference so far. Team USA prioritized skaters and physical play.
