  1. I can't think of any super bowl winning team in the modern era that didn't have defined roles on offense. We should be more worried than usual.
  2. Do you have crazy CC rewards points racked up from the Corporate Amex? I need to learn how to maximize my miles and points before the next big trip.
  3. I don't know how I managed to fly before pre-check, lounge access, and global entry. Even with those perks it can still be a miserable experience.
  4. Every ####### on every flight now thinks "I have a tight connection" is a clever way to force your way to the front of the plane when disembarking. Half the time I see these people in line at Starbucks 5 minutes later.
  5. I recently flew Southwest as A-1. I was maybe the 30th person on the plane after all the wheelchair preboards and their entire extended family and friends. The wheelchair preboard in front of me spent the entire flight pacing up and down the aisle. And of course, zero wheelchairs were needed to deplane.
  6. Hes so smooth in the air. Gets those hands up at the last second and extends. Its a beautiful thing.
  7. Well, well, well. How the turntables have...turned.
  8. And Peterman might get a start this season and go on to have a more successful career than Mahomes. You don't know what the future holds!!! But as of 11:09 PM Central Time, Peterman is a bum, Shanahan, McVay, Reid are the best offensive minds in the game and nothing about Brady's body of work to date suggests he will be considered in the same tier as the guys above. All of those guys got head coaching positions based on their prowess as innovative offense coordinators.
  9. Isn't great is an understatement. The offense actively lost the Jets game with turnovers. Punts and field goals would have won the game. Against the Pats and Jags the offense had managed 10 and 7 points going into the 4th quarter. Thats bad. Winning when the offense is bad is hard to do in the modern NFL.
  10. Unfair media coverage is your basis for supporting Trump? Getting a raw deal in the MSM has not made him any more fit for office. I would similarly encourage you to revisit why you didn't want Trump in 2016 and vote for Brain Worms in 2024. Be your own man!
  11. I don't know why that is harder to comprehend than accepting an option we don't love as our new messiah and the basis of our entire personality.
  12. With the exception of the Eagles OT loss, the offense was largely a no show in all of our losses.
  13. If you accept the role of a backup, present no threat to the starter, and are a good teammate who will run a scout team and prep the new rookie draft pick, you can hang around for a good 20 years as a backup QB.
  14. If I know I am going to be drinking, I Uber there and take the car out of the equation...almost, nearly, most of the time. I need to get that % up.
  15. That team wasn't the most talented but they were mostly entertaining to watch and easy to root for. Bunch of misfits and D3 guys at our skill positions. If Fitz hadn't broken his ribs and FJ not ended up on IR maybe they squeak into the last wild card.
  16. I've met these people and most of them would be great organ donors.
  17. In my line of work, our time sheets for client billing include a field for where the work is performed and taxes are adjusted accordingly. Not an issue for me since I don't travel much and when I do I lie about it and say I'm in Texas, but for others in the consulting field its a real factor.
  18. I am so conflicted on this issue. On one hand, our tax code has largely been shaped by lobbyists for the interests of corporations and the rich and powerful. On the other hand, my career is accounting adjacent and I need financial reporting standards and tax code to be as dense and silly as possible. But then I looked at how much I am paying in taxes this year...
  19. I know you didn't suggest the poor should pay more. It was a joke. From what little I know of tax receipts, this never ending income tax debate seems like a distraction as corporate tax collections as a percentage of total tax collection continues to decline. Since the great financial crisis of 2008, lower corporate tax has primarily funded share repurchase programs rather than capital expansion. Its a win-win for the wealthy who have most of their net worth in equity markets. Doesn't do much for the average joe 18 pack. While no one likes paying taxes, it remains true that the very wealthy have way more opportunities to exploit tax shelters than us regular folk. That not poor to not rich zone of wage and salary workers pays every cent owed.
  20. The Fitzmagic comeback against the Patriots in 2011. Going down 3 TDs early it looked like another drubbing was on its way as Brady and Belichick continued their dominance at the Ralph. Kicking the winning field goal at the 1 with no time left on the clock after a clutch drive was about as sweet as it gets.
  21. Those people earning under $30k a year need to start pulling their weight. Also, children. Why should those little bed wetters get a free pass? And don't even get me started on old people and the disabled.
  22. Defenses are really going to have to play their CB1 on our WR3. We are creating mismatches all over the field. Talk about a waste of resources but what's the alternative? Bench your CB1 of course. Teams are going to run out of CB3s and CB2s trying to cover our guys. Its pretty brilliant actually. Beane always 4 steps ahead.
  23. I was thinking Kiko Alonso but Augie is no spring chicken.
  24. I believe some of the anti virus providers have identity theft tools which can screen for compromised passwords, leaked personal data, etc. Intuit and TurboTax offer something. Worth looking into. This case is unusually aggressive and high effort for a phishing scam. Normally there aren't so many follow ups. Did you respond to any messages or answer any calls?
  25. This is a phishing scam. They send out nonsense and see who responds. Best thing you can do is continue to ignore them. If they reveal any personal information then call the police. Chances are some of your info, email and phone, were leaked in a hacking event and are now available on the dark web. This is probably a bunch of slaves in Myanmar, China, India, or Russia sending you empty threats.
