If Cassel plays decently, is that it for Whaley?
Jauronimo replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We all know how it played out, but my question is if Cassel bounces back and plays lights out next week, is that it for my marriage?? -
Its some of the weakest trash talk on TBD. Barbie collector, no make that Ken doll collector!!! Burn! 3rd grade me would've been absolutely mildly agitated. And then the coup de grace...you're gay!! This was a verbal Little Bighorn. Total massacre. If I wasn't already so full of doll collecting, homosexual shame I would've stopped showing my face around here months ago.

I didn't make it through the pilot because I strongly disagree.

Different ones than me, apparently.

I think you missed the sarcasm.

There is nothing mysterious about the bike cop. That character is trite and cliched. He is nothing more than the archetypal troubled soul haunted by all the war time dick he caught.

Heady Topper And A Dry Aged Steak!
Jauronimo replied to HereComesTheReignAgain's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Quality lump charcoal doesn't ash nearly as much as briquettes and part of the method includes giving your coals a good fanning to clear loose ash and debris. The merit is a better sear or crust and supposedly a more consistent cook. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/01/dining/steak-on-charcoal-cooking.html?_r=0 Legend is that Eisenhower grilled steaks directly on coal. Haven't tried it yet so I can't say if its worth it but it sounds legit. -
Morganville? That takes me back. Its been Shelbyville since nineteen-dickety-two. We had to say dickety because the Kaiser had stolen our word twenty. I chased that rascal to get it back, but gave up after dickety-six miles.

Honestly, none of this should surprise anyone. There were red flags on Duke dating back to his college days. From his scouting report: http://www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/duke-williams?id=2539269

Bills OL coach Aaron Kromer arrested (Suspended 6 games)
Jauronimo replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure, its easy to say in hindsight that Kromer should have just sat back and called the cops. But in the heat of the moment, the metaphorical fog of conflict, when the beach chairs really start flying, in THAT situation, I can understand how a man might just kill a whole a family. -

His son just got charged and might be facing further charges of child abuse. I have to wonder to what extent Zach is a bad influence on dad. I think we all have to wonder to what degree these alleged "kids" had it coming, too? -

Its like the old proverb, you can give a man fish and feed him for a day. Punch him in the face and throw his pole in the water and then you should probably kill his whole family. -
Citing my posts in mass, without context, accusing me of backtracking somehow, and then failing to make any sort of coherent and relevant point regarding what you've quoted is an interesting way to argue. Which unit benefits more from the other isn't chicken and egg. Most reasonable people might realize that one of the 2 units is historically outstanding and in the conversation for best ever while the other unit is the offense. Since "most reasonable people" is not inclusive of you, its probably worth pointing out that Russel's leadership and work ethic means !@#$ all in the defensive huddle. Hanging that much weight on intangibles while suggesting that Bill has entered murky waters might have been the height of irony in this thread until you doubled down and declared that I or he or both have yet to prove "to anyone's satisfaction" that RW shouldn't be paid like Rodgers, blissfully unaware that the case you've laid out for why he should receive the richest contract in NFL history is thin at best and non-existent at worst, and I'm being kind in my word choice. The only thing you've demonstrated to anyone's satisfaction is that you're still incapable of forming and supporting a logical argument. This thread is all about quantifying and questioning RW's worth. The fact that 26 pages in and you can't even comprehend the topic speaks volumes. You're not what the guidance counselor would refer to as "Mizzou material".

He could use a little lesson in credibility from our own Pat Moran. Anybody can threaten to kill a whole family. Up the stakes a bit. For example, "I'll kill your whole family or may my own daughter be hit by a car!" Thats integrity. -

Kromer informed the Oline that if he beats the charges he wants to be carried out of court room. -

Wow. Look at Russ laying down the law. Although by most accounts it seems that Kromer really messed up, and this isn't exactly the first time hes committed an error in judgment, I still cannot help but feel a little like he might kill someone's whole family before this thing is done. -
Heady Topper And A Dry Aged Steak!
Jauronimo replied to HereComesTheReignAgain's topic in Off the Wall Archives
My favorite is over an obscenely hot charcoal grill. Second, cast iron which has spent time under the broiler. The method gaining popularity among food nerds now is to bypass the grates and toss the steak directly on to lump charcoal. Haven't tried it yet, but at some point I'd like to give it a go. -
Heady Topper And A Dry Aged Steak!
Jauronimo replied to HereComesTheReignAgain's topic in Off the Wall Archives
While Serious Eats concludes that dry aging in the fridge is pretty bogus, they do advocate salting your steaks a day or even two in advance and letting them sit in the fridge. If I've got the time, thats the way I like to cook steak. -

Thats it? Somewhere Matt Barnaby is laughing and muttering something about "casuals" and "Sunday drunk drivers". Amateur hour.
