If those are the clear cut best players on the board, so be it. Actual difference makers on the field is way better than getting the WR equivalent of Donte Whitner just because we have a need at that position.

Teams that draft for need will continue to have many much need to replace mediocre starters. Need is a tie breaker when deciding between two equally rated players in the draft.

That should be a real relief to Raiders nation. There is a trustworthy Process in place. Raider fan just has to be patient and watch it all unfold.

Sounds like Gruden could use some serious Process consulting. The hockey team had 4 players on the roster that I had heard of at the beginning of the season. 2 of which were nobodies that couldn't stick with the Sabres and didn't last long in Vegas. Unless Fleury and James Neal are stars (hint: they aren't) that team had ZERO star power.

That's what I'm saying. When the league's 22nd ranked rushing attack is stuffing the ball down your throat, passing on you at will, and you find yourself down by 32 points to a 1-5 team, its very easy to lose perspective. In those situations, its more important than ever to remember that we have a really good defense and we're good people.
