These top Madden players that play competitively are put in these situations thousands of times per year, compared to an NFL coach which is only a handful. These guys probably can't even catch a football and know jack squat about Xs and Os, but clock management is second nature to them because over the past 2 decades they've been in these situations probably over 20,000+ times. They know how to maximize every single second of the clock.
