McVay was under fire his first few years for numerous clock management mistakes. It came to head a year ago when it cost them a chance at a comeback drive in the playoffs. Since then he hired an assistant coach who specializes in clock management and timeout usage, so they do exist (and that guy had to be laughing his ass off last weekend). The biggest hurdle seems to be coaches that can't put their egos aside.

Your quote will get laughed at, but I'm in 100% agreement. These top Madden players that play competitively are put in these situations thousands of times per year, compared to an NFL coach which is only a handful. These guys probably can't even catch a football and know jack squat about Xs and Os, but clock management is second nature to them because over the past 2 decades they've been in these situations probably over 20,000+ times. They know how to maximize every single second of the clock.

What gets lost after Josh's performance is that Matt Stafford played absolutely out of his mind. Some of those throws he made were unbelievable. Not basing it purely on stats, that has to be in his top-5 games ever played.
