  1. We're all just being primed to accept that this team will not be in WNY for much longer... It's funny how easy it will be to never watch another football game again when they do. I got the sunday ticket this year for free, and haven't had it for years, what an F-ing waste! all those commercials about how you can watch your favorite team play on sunday make me sick when I think of the absolute ASSWATER this team has been for 13 years! My level of apathy left me numb to the point I didn't go out to watch the game with our local Bills Backers for the first time since JP Losman left me gutted like a roadside deer. I am saying this publicly for the first time - can't believe I am about to type this, but... I hate this F-ing team with every fiber of my being right now. I am so utterly embarrassed that I have removed anything I have at my office that indicates where I am from, it's just too bad so many people know me as the guy from Buffalo.
  2. I have the NFL Sunday ticket, and my favorite NFC has always been the 49ers ever since Joe Montana was drafted, and my grandfather mistakenly thought he was Italian early on.(We're Italian in case that's not obvious). But I digress. Point is, I watch them as often as I can and can say without a shred of doubt, Donte Whitner is far and away the worst coverage safety I have ever seen play the game. The only difference these days with him is the colour of his jersey. I bring this hot news bulletin on the heels of his criticism of the Buffalo organization, and while some of the points aren't that far fetched, there is no doubt he was missing one important factor, he was part of the problem. The man simply can't cover a tight end to save his life, always seems late to the point of the catch in coverage, and gets easily forced out of position by good quarterbacks that can look him off. None of this has changed, not even on a team with superior coaching, and commitment all the way to the top to loosely paraphrase. So, what's this secret game plan to beat the 49ers? well, that's easy, throw every single pass to Scott Chandler and Dorin dickerson, and run 2 deep on occasion and simply have Fitzpatrick stare intently at one of them, then quickly throw to the other. that's it, do nothing else. As a matter of fact, don't even dress anyone else on offense. He is so catastrophically bad in coverage, I'd be so bold to say that any game the 49ers play with him in the game are only close in scoring due to his time on the field. This is not anger towards, not is it hatred of the man we all called 'Lil Donte, but rather my way of expressing my emotions towards a player whose self image of his skills really don't line up with reality. Will the Bills win? Dunno... But I am starting Scott Chandler in all of my fantasy leagues this week...Championship!
  3. Who? Isn't he the place holder for the Ottawa Rough Riders now?
  4. I honestly can't believe how apathetic I am towards this loss.
  5. When a team is perennially 6-10 or 7-9 there is no such thing as a luxury pick, it was a ridiculously stupid comment, since the team at the time had a sub-par running back in Lynch and an un-proven Fred Jackson. There is nothing that can be said to ever justify that the team had bigger needs elsewhere at the time, the team didn't just have a few small holes in the dam to fix, the team was hemorrhaging water everywhere. I said it right from the start, I was ecstatic with the pick for once. and don't try to say Lynch was anything more than sub-par, his YPC had dropped below 4 at the close of 2009. I am very pleased this kid is coming around, and will be one of those players that will set team records when it's all said and done if he stays healthy. This thread really isn't so much a testament to CJ being a good player, but it's that the front office got it right for once, and the masses of self loathing Bills fans can't bash the pick for once. It's time to start looking at it for what it was, a great 1st round pick, given his college talents and achievements at the time, being the best player on the board at the time, AND it met a team need.
  6. Why does anyone read this guy? Is it the moth to a flame sort of attraction? Or do Bills fans love reading a seriously crappy journalist who thrives on anything remotely negative. People stopped paying attention to crap like maury Povich and jerry springer, and they finally went away. Now, if we all decide to stop reading his garbage, 2 bit hack articles, then maybe... juuuuust maybe the Buffalo news will get the message and replace him with someone else.
  7. Will do... What made you even think to ask the question? Was it all the other teams in the NFL fighting each other to sign him once we cut him? Was it his strong pocket presence and razor sharp accuracy that beckons this query of yours? Just trying to get a handle on how this is even a thread.
  8. He and jerry Sullivan wrote their articles together on the bus ride into work Monday Morning.
  9. I would agree with the Anchor Bar part of this but diabolically oppose your view of Duff's wings.
  10. seriously who cares what he thinks. He's an ex- Paytoilet, what do you expect him to say?
  11. I got suckered into reading his garbage article, I usually see his picture at the top of the article and click away. This time my PC betrayed me, and his picture was not displayed. As I scrolled down I saw his name attached to the bottom of that steam pile he wrote, otherwise I wouldn't have an opinion, but he has some diabolical hatred for any move the Bills make, how can you even question the Spiller pick at this point? He Does so just to be a douche. How the Buffalo News still employs this AssWipe is completely beyond comprehension. I get it, we all get it... he is a journalist, but to constantly bash every single move, question every single decision, and slam anyone affiliated with the franchise just gets old, and if you can't stand the things the team does, then how about stop writing about them. I don't know why anyone would ever give 2shits what this prick ever has to say, right or not.
  12. I stopped reading right after "a 100 million" If you're going to write an article, at least have an editor. What a maroon. That reads like " a One hundred" I guess you don't have to reads and writes no goods to be able to writes about footsball.
  13. there were positives from yesterday, and I think everyone's assumption that as Fitzpatrick goes, this team will go is dead on. The defense will get stronger as they gain experience playing along side one another, and to be honest, this team needed a punch in the mouth. You have to work hard every single play, every single game to win in the NFL and while they have talent, everyone on this team needs to know if you don't perform, you're not going to be around long. I hope that was the lesson learned yesterday.
  14. This made me laugh... good one. Fire Wanny...
  15. You beat me to it... I was going to say the same thing. My frustration level could not be any higher at this point. How can a team seemingly make all the right moves in the offseason continue to look WORSE every F'ing year? It seems like it would be harder to SUCK every year than to accidentally have a good season every once in a decade or 2, yet this team seems to defy the odds.
  16. Maybin was named the team captian yesterday, and that's all the camera time he got all day. What a joke. The Bills may have lost yesterday and looked bad in doing it, but to have 0 tackles, 0 assists, and 0 sacks really says something about a guy the jests fans think they stole from us, and their coaches can get more out of him. Well... they are sort of right, they did get a team captain out of him, there's always that....
  17. I commented on another thread right after the first preseason that they secondary got torched by RG3, and people flamed me. then all the flamer's mouths were slammed shut by the same thing happening in the remaining 3 preseason games. The season opener was no different. The defense looked stout across the front line, but now the secondary will be the downfall of this team's playoff chances this year. We'll save the Fitz bashing for another thread.
  18. I was also thinking of him recently, and hope he can become more closely affiliated with the team once again. I'm very happy to see how well he is doing.
  19. It's hard to call the coin toss in the NFL
  20. it wouldn't be TSW if there wasn't a "We should pick up" (insert washed up bum name here)___________ "because he is waaay better than what we have on our roster" OR "We should pick up" (insert washed up QB bum name here)___________"because he is waaay better than what we have on our roster AND Chan will make him a STAR I tells ya" thread. I do have one question to the people who post this crap.... Do you think to yourself "Hey, I have an idea that nobody has seen before... I'll pose this question"?
  21. I think everyone is all "talked out". It seems that there is so much "progress" made in camp, and how good this player looked, and that player has really improved and the preseason sort of let the air out of everyone's balloons. I think what's happening here is a wait and see approach. I know I am...
