Fix the OL and add more receiving weapons. This idea that we need a star RB, as if you can just go to the store and get one, in order to win a SB is stupid. I don’t care that it’s Jim Kelly saying it, it’s dumb. How can anyone watch our recent playoff failures and conclude that not having a star RB was our downfall

Im not saying you stop and I wouldn’t be surprised if we go DL early. The reality is that we’ve invested tens of millions in free agency, drafted guys in the 1st and 2nd rounds and outside of Von there isn’t a single impact player on the DL. That’s really the biggest issue.

The plan is to keep dumping resources into the DL only for it to still be a big need.

Seems like the opposite is true regarding who has the leverage. Jets appear to have put their eggs in the Rodgers basket and will probably have to cave at some point. If I’m GB then I’m in no hurry to trade him. I’d sooner pay him to not play than give him away for peanuts.

Very possible he’s just not a good player and ends up fading away. If we’re already trying to replace him then it sounds like it shouldn’t create more of a problem than it already has.

We aren't a team that is going to have a workhorse RB carry the ball 20 times a game. If James Cook can't handle 12-15 carries then Beane should never be allowed to draft or trade for a RB ever again. Go sign a power back in FA or draft one in the late rounds if you want but I'm sick of watching this front office use day 2 picks on RBs and still feel like the position is a need.

Can you explain how taking playing time from his brother helps him take the next step? Not to mention we already use too many draft picks on RBs as it is and he's scheduled to make $11mil this year. Literally so many reasons why this is a bad idea.

Guy is tiny and seems to get injured a lot. If he’s just a return man then I’m not a fan. The goal better be to use him a lot on offense.

Why would you think it’s a good idea to get rid of all the depth we have at the position? Gabe may not be a great #2 but he certainly provides cheap (for now) value as a 3 or 4.
