Dorsey was largely considered next in line if Daboll got a HC job and not many people had an issue with it before it happened. I don't blame McD at all and I'm sure Dorsey was prepping behind the scenes for the likelihood that Daboll would be gone. The promotion made sense for a lot of reasons. Who was the experienced OC you wanted instead?

It's the same discussion literally everyday. McD isn't and shouldn't go anywhere. Frazier isn't getting fired no matter how much you piss and moan about it.

It's probably naïve to think McD didn't consult with Allen about who he wanted and Allen himself said he wanted Dorsey so can you really blame him?

It's a talent issue. We have several guys on the DL who were drafted in the first 2 rounds yet once Von went down nobody could get to the QB. That's on Beane and his evaluations.

And maybe he likes being a position coach and doesn’t want the added stress and responsibilities of being a coordinator. What if he just prefers being in charge of a small group where he can provide more hands on coaching? I’ve never even heard of the guy or know what kind of coach he’ll be for us but reading some of the horrible takes in here is just laughable.

It's 2023, it's silly that there isn't a dedicated official in the booth that can challenge any call or send word to the refs to throw a flag or reverse a call. The whole coaches challenge system is so dumb as is there being things that aren't reviewable. Just get the calls right and carry on.

What makes Payton better? Because he has an offensive background? He had one of the best QBs ever in his prime for majority of his time in NO and managed to make it beyond the Divisional Round 3 times in 15 years. What a sad list except for maybe Ben Johnson. Kellen Moore LOL Jim Harbaugh…what a young and bright offensive mind. Todd Monken? What year is it? So basically, your issue seems to mostly be about Dorsey considering guys like Reid have been criticized for the longest time for their clock management and in game decisions. It all comes down to talent. You can have the brightest offensive mind around but your talent isn’t all that great then there’s only so much you can do. We have Allen, Diggs and that’s really it for elite players on offense. Kellen Moore isn’t going to fix anything.
