I’ve tried to remain cautiously optimistic about Allen. One bad or good game shouldn’t sway your opinion one way or the other. I am seeing concerning trends though. His bonehead throws and decision making are an obvious problem. I get it, young QBs make mistakes but Allen seems to keep making the same ones. He still has a lot of work to do before I consider him a franchise QB.

I’ve been a big critic of Ford at RT but let’s not make excuses for Allen. He needs to get his feet right and step into his throws. He was inaccurate yesterday.

Based on this hypothetical, the league should just give us the win. We might as well consider this another 4 quarter comeback and give Allen credit for another game winning drive.

I was at the game today and was watching the QBs warm up pregame. One thing I noticed was Allen was lackadaisical when throwing to receivers. Barkley was taking snaps from a coach and actually dropping back simulating game speed and stepping into throws whereas Allen took the snap, stood there and threw passes flat footed. It just looked lazy.

I said he hasn’t been a disruptive force in the backfield and rather than trying to have a discussion you went straight to insults and name calling. Given your responses so far it’s not a good look to criticize anyone for not having a well thought out response. If anyone has been spewing trash it’s you.

Well, he’s certainly not the disruptive force making plays in the backfield that we expected.

Barkley isn’t good. The people hyping him up as one of the best backups in the league must be on drugs. To answer the question, if Allen can play then he should play. He’s by far our best option.

If you’re open, the QB should be able to get you the ball. It doesn’t matter if you’re the #3 WR or run a 4.5 instead of a 4.3.

Our tackles are really bad. Ford should stay inside. Dawkins hasn’t been good and Nsekhe is serviceable at best. It’s a problem

it literally proves nothing. Barkley came in cold off the bench and had 127 passing yards in less than a quarter. 200 yards in today’s NFL isn’t anything to write home about.

it’s not difficult to understand actually. we don’t quite know how Allen will turn out. He could end up being another failed QB that guys like you anointed the savior for no reason other than blind hope.

8 games of 200 yards is one of the most pathetic achievements we can can brag about. It’s basically admitting the QB position has been absolute dog crap for 20 years. I think it says more about our team than Allen.

Find a guy who gets open and catches the ball. Size is nice but isn’t important
