  1. Happy it’s a one year deal. He is a decent rotation guy but not someone I’m eager to give a long term deal to just yet. I wouldn’t be fine with who we have up front. Hughes is literally the only guy we have that can create pressure consistently. Lawson had his best season yet but he still offers little in terms of pass rush ability. Murphy is still a walking injury. We desperately need help on the d-line.
  2. McD and BB show up to Dallas in a white van and ski masks to “sign” Demarcus Lawrence.
  3. What narrative do I have? That our offenses under McD have been poor and people have concerns over whether he can field a good offense? That’s not me pushing some narrative, it’s reality.
  4. There’s nothing to over analyze. Our HC said we have to be a threat to score 21 points per game in a league where that amount of production is below average. We averaged under 17 ppg last year. Everyone here knows we need to score more points. McD and BB have stated they want to win championships. That should be the standard set every year and if our 2nd year QB can’t handle the pressure of what it would take to achieve that then he isn’t the guy we want him to be. So yeah, I want my coach to set the bar high and if players can’t handoe then the AAF is looking for players.
  5. There have been concerns over McD’s ability to produce a good offense given that his background is all defense. I’m not a HC and I don’t spend 16 hours a day analyzing and studying the game but even I know that when talking about putting up points, 21 per game is just not good enough.
  6. It essentially amounts to a FG more than we what produced on a per game basis last year.
  7. His actual quote was “you have to be a threat to score 21 points a game”. That amounts to an average at best scoring team. Hooray
  8. It’s science. I don’t have time to explain.
  9. Mark it down. He isn’t going top 8. I risk my internet reputation on it.
  10. If we trade back into the late teens then I’d feel better about it. My biggest issue is that I don’t think we’ll get the return we are hoping for by taking a TE at 9.
  11. Theres absolutely zero chance he is taken before 9.
  12. Eifert literally can’t stay on the field unfortunately. Guys like Gresham are decent but 3700 yards in 9 seasons is not something I’d be thrilled about from the 9th overall pick. This is the kind of thing bad teams do when they are so focused on drafting for need. There are going to be better players at 9.
  13. Russ Brandon delivering on his promises to bring a robust analytics department to the team
  14. Olsen wasn’t drafted by the Panthers. Davis checks out though.
  15. When was the last time a 1st round TE worked out for the team that drafted him?
  16. He has the potential to have all of the yards and score all of the TDs
  17. How many threads do we need that tell us we need receivers and o-line help?
  18. Why would you assume the “experts” didn’t do their homework? The draft isn’t some exact science where you can crunch some numbers that guarantee how a player develops at the NFL level. And Allen hasn’t proven the critics wrong just yet so I’m not sure what a thread like this is out to prove. You had such a negative view of Allen and wanted nothing to do with him like so many others.
