Recently saw George Wilson interview Marcell Dareus on BuffaloBills.com. I like this kid even more than I did before. He seems humble, soft spoken, and hits like a train. He also looks like he'll quickly learn and adjust. After his offsides penalty last Sunday, he seemed genuinely disappointed in himself...then kept right on pushing the line back. Looking forward to what he does in Week 2. Also hope he doesn't lose these personality traits. Anyway, among the questions was where he likes to eat out. Dareus says he really doesn't eat out, and that the last dinner he made himself was cube steaks. I can't remember the last time I had cube steak, and he certainly makes more than I do. I hope I speak on behalf of most of the Bills nation in saying that his promising 1st-week performance has earned him a trip to the best steak house in Buffalo. Nothing against cube steak and all. http://www.buffalobills.com/media-lounge/videos#?id=0be9893f-6e03-4f35-88f1-0b21bfd303ca&channelName=Recent

Probably not. I see 9 this year. But...the Colts are likely out, AND we could hope for the Steelers to miss the playoffs. Hey--they could be too old on D, Polamalu might get injured, and their running game may never take off. That would leave three spots in the AFC East....if my own math is serving me.

Amazing stat--roughly half of the teams that win the opener make the postseason. I don't see that happening, though, until we find some way to beat the Pats. The Jets are too good for us to be swept by any AFC East team and think about post season. Course the Chiefs were swept and made it but this ain't the AFC West. I do see a 2-0 in the near future though.

First time he's knelt in a victory formation. Wow, we really were bad these past two years. Good for him. And our team. Agreed. The majority of fans don't know anything about him. They will this year.

This 1st win reminds me...

Can't dispute anything other than the fact that the unis were introduced the year prior. -
Dave Wannstedt Sighting On Sunday?
Just in Atlanta replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't know what I think of Wanstache shaving the stache. Doesn't seem right. But he can call the plays from the sports bar for all I care as long as he keeps doing what he did last Sunday. Did he really shave the stache?!? -
You, sir, are a bag of douche. Good one.

Now that is cool.

No respect from this fan unless his horn plays La Cucaracha.

ESPN Weekly Ranks
Just in Atlanta replied to Quinn Early's Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whatever ESPN. My thought is maybe they don't like jumping teams up too much, and then jumping them back if they crash the following week. Makes em look amateur and bandwagon-ish. My argument would be that the Bills should have been at least 5 spots higher than they currently are before the game started, but oh well, what do you want--the last time this team made the playoffs, most of us were using dial-up Internet. -
Have joked myself about it, but it looks serious now...was pointing to his chest in the last practice. I wish him a speedy recovery.

Chad Henne was the best part of that team last night. The way their fans treat Henne is sad. Horrible fan base. Looked like the stadium was half full.

Bills still not built to beat Pats
Just in Atlanta replied to Geno Smith's Arm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hate to say it, but Brady gets better every year. Granted, the Dolphins' secondary was sucking wind--in their own stadium no less--but he has the ability to attack the weakest link, and he just doesn't make any mistakes. Did you see the CB with the dreds get picked on--I think it was Nolan Carroll? I almost felt sorry for the guy. He got abused by multiple WRs, TEs and Brady. Dude just looked dejected. They have so many offensive packages, the Bills D will likely not be able to dominate and our O won't win in a shootout against Brady. Having said that, I feel good about our chances against the Dolphins, AFC West and NFC East. -
I don't know if that's true, but it makes sense. They need to nip this in the bud, PR wise, though. Speculation breeds like wildfire.

We could joke, and seriously speculate, all day. It could very well be a mental illness, though. On the other hand, a key clue could come from Gailey: "where that's going to go..." Can't imagine what that would be, if you take it literally, other than a flesh-eating virus. My hope is STD. Easily treatable, unlike mental illnesses and flesh-eating viruses. Unless it's a flesh-eating STD that causes manic depression. Then he's seriously screwed.

VD clinics: Be on the lookout for one Marcus Easley, 6.2 black male, 225 lbs. Also goes by the name "Don Canada."
-
From Gailey: "It's gotten more prolonged than we thought. We're going have to get more evaluation on him and see exactly where that's going to go. He won't be ready this week for sure. I know what it is, but I'm not going to say. I think he should be the one to say if anybody does." This can't be good.

OK, Bills PR: Time to put out this fire before it gets bigger. Unless, of course, it really is syphilis. Then, lie and come up with something good.

Our favorite intrepid investigative reporter says it's swine flu. This time his source is rock solid--Gwyneth Paltrow. If I'm wrong, may Tom Brady go bald. ...And LOL on the dirty, filthy Chippewa women post.

4-0 IS VERY POSSIBLE!!!!
Just in Atlanta replied to Clippers of Nfl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll hold judgment till after the game tonight. Either way, I don't expect the Pats to "destroy" us, or the other way around. If their D is as mediocre as I think it may be, we have a legitimate shot. So pretty please, with sugar on top. Beat the f*$%ing Pats. -
At least we hope he is.
-
With a little conditioning, even Mr. Pan could have scored in the 4th against that demoralized team. Gailey not only outcoached KC, he took away their will, yanked their collective soul out and spit chewing tobacco all over it...with a smile. Another, please.

No. 1 passing rating for Week 1. No. 1 smartest QB. No. 1 best-looking team (don't buy it but I'll take it...Fitz looks like he should be pitch-forking hay on The Witness...but then again George Wilson probably gets more tail in one season than most of us do in our lives). Fitz...what a scrub. He should have thrown 6 TDs, not 4.
-
Will have an educated analysis after the game tonight. But until then, I will say they are likely better than the Bills were at the start of last year: They have the sense to make Trent Edwards a third-stringer. My thoughts: Bowling ball running back. Weak passing game. An elusive but intellectually-challenged QB who scored like a 6 on the Wonderlic. A weak run defense, but solid secondary. That's just speculation, though. Barring any amazing play tonight, I think we are by far the better team. Haven't really felt that about any opponent in several years. I won't end with the "it's only the first week" cliche. I do think we're solid. But I will end with "let's see how we look against New England" cliche before I start getting all starry eyed.

Brad Smith's Importance To This Offense
Just in Atlanta replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry, Wild Bill it is. Also think we need to call Freddie Jackson "Waterfall."
