Jauron's Midget Fetish

I have nothing to add to this discussion other than the fact that this thread topic is impossible not to open. -

The blue pants are more expensive. Ralph is cheap. -

Then don't click on the thread if you don't give a ****. Tired of the "I don't care if they wear X, just as long as they win" cliche. Can you at least acknowledge that the uniform is at least of mild interest to some fans? Also, Go Bills. -
Wow, thanks. Hope he's accurate on the O line being better. Don't quite buy his comments on the Evans trade. But overall, this gives me optimism.

Yeah, I say bring on the blue pants. A little too much white in the aways. Anything is better than the Arena League unis from the past decade, though, so no complaints. -
Course if the Bills do win, the lead will be about the injured Cassel, who valiantly played with injured ribs, not the Bills winning. [ whine ] But true.

Agree with some that this will be a mistake-prone game with turnovers and miscues. I also expect some wild plays as a result. I think our pass rush shows up with a vengeance, and we get gashed a little from the run. At the end, our pass attack will win, and despite getting run on, our Red Zone D will show up. Nothing but field goals and a Pick 6 for the Chefs. Bills 24 Chefs 19.

Yeah, I don't claim to know a lot about the Chiefs, but at least I don't think Elvis Grbac is their QB. Trent Edwards, really? The fans on that board aren't the brightest bunch. One cat implies since Jones is our No. 2, that if they don't "rape" us he's going to die. Not ready to pick a W yet in just the first week, but the Bills do look like the better team. The only way the Chiefs "light" us up, as another fan puts it, would be if they reanimate a 30-year-old Joe Montana or if Baldwin and Jones start knifing folks. OK, I am predicting a win, based solely on their fans: Bills 18 Chiefs 6.

Is This Team Improved or Not From Last Year?
Just in Atlanta replied to box0life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
QB's - Somewhat agree. Thigpen is a gunslinger, Fitz will improve from an already good season, and Smith will add something interesting. Medium upgrade, but that depends on the line and receivers... OL - Disagree. We added nothing, and lost a veteran in Hangartner. Downgrade. TE: - Disagree. Anything is better than what we had last year. Plus, Chandler looks promising, and we just added a TE from NE. Upgrade. RB's - Disagree. Spiller has to get better. Slight upgrade. WR's - Agree. The loss of Evans, without the addition of a vertical-threat veteran, hurts. Downgrade. DL: I would say huge upgrade. LB's: Huge upgrade. DB's: I don't really know. We had a solid year last year at these positions, but I haven't seen very much out of them in the preseason. ST's: Agree. I would also add Wanstache as a huge upgrade. This team will have a top 10 pass rush, average run D, and probably an average secondary. Based solely on last year, and not figuring in improvements/downgrades for other AFC East teams, and given the fact that we have an equally-tough season this year, I would give us an additional four wins for our D, one win for QB continuity, an extra win for the Wildcat, an extra loss for Evans, an extra loss for the line, and an X factor win for the unis . Prediction: We finish 9-7 or 8-8. If we do nothing to improve this line, and if a lineman gets hurt, I'll downgrade that to 7-9. I don't know if we can beat the Pats or Jets even once, but we will sweep the hapless Fins. Go Bills. -

Wang was limp in pre-season. -

I hear Chung is available. -
This is the winner so far.

One good run. There's a lot of hope tied in one play, but I will be very happy if that play is a harbinger. In the meantime, we have a solid starter. An announcer recently said Freddie flowed like a waterfall. While other RBs gash and zig, Freddie, he said, effortlessly glides through defenders, taking the path to least resistance. I say Freddie's nickname should hereby be "Waterfall Jackson."

Pryor is dumber than Brad Smith
Just in Atlanta replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A little more interested in this than I probably should be, but it is cool to analyze our view of traditional intelligence vs. QB success. From last year's starters, the smartest and the dumbest: The Frasier League 1. Ryan Fitzpatrick 48 2. Alex Smith 40 3. Eli Manning 39 4. Matt Stafford 38 5. Tony Romo 37 6. Aaron Rodgers 35 6. Matt Leinart 35 8. Tom Brady 33 9. Matt Ryan 32 10. Matt Schaub 31 Jersey Shore League 23. Ben Roethlisberger 25 24. Jason Campbell 23 25. Brett Favre 22 25. Tim Tebow 22 25. Chad Henne 22 28. Bruce Gradkowski 19 29. Vince Young 15 30. Donovan McNabb 14 30. David Garrard 14 Interesting note: Four of the top 10 smartest QBs are named Matt. -

Maybe I should rethink my idea about the Wonderlic. Says here Jim Kelly got a 15. Ditto for Dan Marino. While Kelly was one of the dumbest, Fitzy is by far the smartest. -

Wonderlic claims a score of at least 10 points suggests a person is literate. Fitzy, as I'm sure most of you know, scored a 48. According to Wikipedia, the average warehouse worker gets a 14 and the smartest football position is OT, not QB. I've got to say I wouldn't want someone half as smart as an average warehouse worker marshaling my team. On another note, I just saw the Raiders depth chart on the Wonderlic story. Trent Edwards isn't even No. 2. And he's behind one of the worst QBs in the league, Jason Campbell. I still can't believe Checkdown was named our starting QB last year. -
Insider: Nix hasn't addressed Bills greatest needs

Tight end. Get it? Lame, I know. Congrats, Marcellosaurus, yer my first Peter Pan victim. Now that I have that out of my system... -
Posluszny says he feels much more comfortable now...

I'd also be comfortable with $45 m. -

Just in Atlanta replied to Amstel's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can't say I agree with most of those statements. And I also read that feature with the quote praising Brad Smith. In fact, this report quotes a scout who says the Bills' only weakness is lack of a tight end. -

I've heard plenty people say that Detroit makes them nervous. Never heard that anxiety directed to the city's football team. -
What PTR said.

Did the Bills get some bad calls by the refs last night? Yeah, but the Jags got one or two too. I assure you, there is no officiating conspiracy against the Bills. Further, Stevie and God are tight now, so cosmic forces will be on our side for a change this season.
