Found this visual on reddit. Thought it was super helpful. Big Cowboys, Steelers, Texans, and Bucs fan this week. If the Bills win the division I think there is a strong chance they come into the playoffs as the 2 seed. KC losing to the Bengals and Jacksonville losing to the Bucs make that a strong possibility.

The guy owns a Bills Backers Bar and already pays for the Peacock service at his bar. He 1. doesn't want to go to work to watch it. and 2. didn't realize he could just use his log in credentials at home.

Most of the complaints towards OP, at least from me, have nothing to do with Peacock. I pay for very little streaming and pirate lots of the games across a lot of sports. What I do have an issue with is this faux martyrdom, LAMP, woe is me, thread that is purely attention seeking, purposefully leaving out key pieces of information. The guy literally already pays for the service for the BIlls Backers Bar that he owns. He has access to the game if he 1. went to work. or 2. knew how to log into anything. I don't disagree with the idea that the NFL and streaming in general (sports or not) is a total racket. But the thread title isn't "This whole streaming thing sucks". The thread title is "This will be the first game I miss in 27 years. Thanks NFL". The entire premise is a bed of lies.

The Ravenwood in Clifton Park outside of Albany shuts down at half time for the late night games. They literally called last call while there was time on the clock in the 2nd quarter. My buddy plays hockey around the corner, so the plan was to meet after his game to watch the Bills. I was flabbergasted. They are a listed Bills Backers Bar. I won't go there again and I tell every Buffalo Bills fan I know about it. What a crock of shirt.

You own a Bills sports bar. For somebody trying to take the moral high ground you were going to try and yoink a consumer product for free to use for your business. Listen man, I pirate all sorts of stuff. I am not above it. But this bit of whining about the cost is hilariously disjointed.

Megatron was an absolute stud. But there is a reason I said Moss was the most talented WR ever and not the best WR ever. Other guys have gotten close to Moss or surpassed him based on consistent working as close as possible to their ceiling. But I don't think there was a better WR in the history of the sport than try hard Randy Moss.

A couple of Lebron references in this thread. I think there’s a huge difference between the two. I think Lebron believes he’s been literally attacked 90% of the time he flops on the basketball court and legitimately deserves 35 free throws after every sneeze. Whereas I think Allen knows there’s a bit of showmanship that goes into calls. He knows a tiny shove or face mask bump isn’t a flag on its own. But if he sends himself flying we get 15 yards and a first. I don’t think Allen’s flops are all that different from his trash talking. There’s something childlike about it. I laugh at it all the time.

That’s by far the biggest and maybe only plus from games on fox.

To transition to the first commercial break they played “Happy Hour Hero” by moe. I knew then that the script was written, and it was a Buffalo win for sure. For those of you who are uncultured, moe. is a popular in the jam band scene. They formed while in undergrad at UB. They always rep Buffalo well on the road.

Weirdly enough I find myself both disliking Cowherd and liking him at the same time. I enjoy listening now and again. I think he is a reasonable dude. But his takes have a tendency to be super dumb too

Totally agree. Going to the other end of the spectrum like hockey with 82 games, when you play sporadically it is easy to tune out if they are bad or even mediocre.

I was just in Porto Allegre a year or two ago. Brazil is really the haves and the have nots. Some areas of cities are amazing, but they can get very bad very quickly. Rio is that way. One block great, the other super dangerous. Foreign currency is king. I took 40 mile Uber and it cost me $7USD. Went to a really nice sushi place, to stuff our faces and the whole thing, cocktails, apps, deserts, etc. came out to $40 with an American sized tip. If you are an upper middle class American, you can live like the super wealthy in any expensive city. I was told not to even pull my phone out in public. We got lucky, and were able to find a sweet Air BnB in a super great (wealthy) walkable neighborhood. Lots of shops, outdoor dinning, bopping around to do. We were able to spend a lot of late nights eating outside on patios, drinking, and making friends with some locals. But again. This was because we were 1. a bit lucky, and 2. my brother in law is from there so we had a very good lay of the land. With pretty major cities like Rio and Sao Paolo, people forget that Brazil is in fact a 3rd world country. For further context, if you are a Brazilian citizen you have to apply for a travel visa to get into Mexico. That is right, even Mexico is like, "meh, maybe we check you out before you come in". Really surprised that cancelled Spain for this. With some better scheduling, the addition of another bye, Europe feels like a place the NFL could plant some roots with a handful of teams. I don't understand the long term plan for Brazil in particular.

The Thursday games are the worst. Health aside (but a huge concern!), the Thursday product sucks. The short week makes the whole thing terrible. I would prefer Saturday, Sunday, Monday, with no team playing Monday then Saturday. The sport is way too hard on the body to shorten the time between games, keep people healthy, and put out a good product. Watch them add a Tuesday/Wednesday game and then make all practice optional.
