  1. Totally agree. Going to the other end of the spectrum like hockey with 82 games, when you play sporadically it is easy to tune out if they are bad or even mediocre.
  2. I was just in Porto Allegre a year or two ago. Brazil is really the haves and the have nots. Some areas of cities are amazing, but they can get very bad very quickly. Rio is that way. One block great, the other super dangerous. Foreign currency is king. I took 40 mile Uber and it cost me $7USD. Went to a really nice sushi place, to stuff our faces and the whole thing, cocktails, apps, deserts, etc. came out to $40 with an American sized tip. If you are an upper middle class American, you can live like the super wealthy in any expensive city. I was told not to even pull my phone out in public. We got lucky, and were able to find a sweet Air BnB in a super great (wealthy) walkable neighborhood. Lots of shops, outdoor dinning, bopping around to do. We were able to spend a lot of late nights eating outside on patios, drinking, and making friends with some locals. But again. This was because we were 1. a bit lucky, and 2. my brother in law is from there so we had a very good lay of the land. With pretty major cities like Rio and Sao Paolo, people forget that Brazil is in fact a 3rd world country. For further context, if you are a Brazilian citizen you have to apply for a travel visa to get into Mexico. That is right, even Mexico is like, "meh, maybe we check you out before you come in". Really surprised that cancelled Spain for this. With some better scheduling, the addition of another bye, Europe feels like a place the NFL could plant some roots with a handful of teams. I don't understand the long term plan for Brazil in particular.
  3. The Thursday games are the worst. Health aside (but a huge concern!), the Thursday product sucks. The short week makes the whole thing terrible. I would prefer Saturday, Sunday, Monday, with no team playing Monday then Saturday. The sport is way too hard on the body to shorten the time between games, keep people healthy, and put out a good product. Watch them add a Tuesday/Wednesday game and then make all practice optional.
  4. I have no issue with NBC moving on from Al Michaels in general. But you don’t do it mid season, and you don’t do it without talking to him first. The guy is an absolute legend. Shame on NBC for doing him dirty. For Al’s sake I hope Amazon gets the SB at some point and they let Al tell NBC to eat shirt on live TV, then retires.
  5. Not to derail the thread, but this is where we get into the weeds when we talk about Allen v Dorsey/Brady. It is certainly possible that’s exactly what happened and the QB missed the read/mark. But we don’t know unless we are in the film room with the staff. You got to see a guy open by 15 yards in the endzone though.
  6. Wins and losses. Also I thought Josh played well against Philly. Less well here. Granted his athleticism and freakish physiology also bailed us out at times too.
  7. It isn't going to be a 50/50 crowd.
  8. Well...if he sat next to Joe Brady, then my god. To the moon! This line reads like "I noticed Dunne said the Bills wouldn't give him credentials, sounds like there is an opening."
  9. It feels like Miami has had better attendance as of late. If that game is meaningful I don't expect it to be a Bills home game. I doubt it will be as hostile as other places, but I don't expect it to be packed either. This isn't Jacksonville.
  10. I am hoping last night wasn't their Superbowl and they can help play the role of spoiler. Houston Seattle @Houston Jags
  11. He said it this past March, 2023 on Sirius NFL Radio. Mara was fairly tongue in cheek about it. Daboll had been to a few Rangers games and made the Jumbotron. But I don't think an owner puts that out there lightly either. Also, some Buffalo guy? Dude gets a job with Giants and suddenly starts rocking Rangers gear all the time? Hard pass. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/36004403/john-mara-jokingly-warns-brian-daboll-go-bono-bozo
  12. I am certainly not predicting it, but the Jets seem to relish the role of spoiler at the moment. Zach Wilson is coming off of a good game. How awesome would Miami losing to NYJ be?
  13. Thanks for jinxing it. Tennessee just fumbled a punt then a kickoff return back to back.
  14. Teams, networks, and reporters.
  15. A22 doesn't come out until tomorrow. At least for us civilian subscribers.
  16. Jawaan Taylor is also too far off of center. That is illegal formation...for the millionth time. I don't know why this guy gets so many passes every week. It is bonkers. Curious for the A22, because on the broadcast footage it looks like Toney smashes into the DB covering Kelce and that is how he got so open. A lot went wrong on that "amazing" play.
  17. Instead of making MNF must see/great football. They are just log jamming a couple games in there at once to free up the 4pm slot on Sundays. I am only halfway joking.
  18. No, this second half offense looked a lot like the KD offense. Gripping too tight, trying for the big play, totally forgot they were allowed to run the ball.
  19. I have always wondered how Pat and Brittany got along. She is always chirping on social media and PM always seems to say all the right things. This makes it all make more sense. He is also a total twit.
  20. The fact that Mahomes is saying "how can you throw that flag for Offside" when they Chiefs have been the butt of jokes/memes across the league with Jawaan Taylor commits a false start on like 40% of offensive plays is absolutely bonkers. Not to mention the "worst call I have ever seen". I know this sounds like homer-ism, but the intentional grounding on the Allen horse collar was maybe the most gaslighted I have ever felt in my entire life. Allen was out of the tackle box AND he had Gabe Davis near the ball. Even if it wasn't a horse collar it wasn't intentional grounding either.
  21. Meh it is fine. I am more letting you two argue about this one. This is the sort of thing I will rally around in a loss "or string of losses" or a critique when the team is winning a lot, but also misfiring a lot. Today I am happy to be alive.
