I believe him, especially about the lying to his father. Thats a big deal to admit. Most people wouldn't want to admit to not meeting someone in person. It's that fear that they won't understand or think your weird for finding someone online. Especially in this digital age. I'm sure his parents met the old fashion way and may not understand meeting someone over the internet. Just my .02 cents.

Like Big Papi reported in another thread, this is someone's track record the season before coming to Buffalo: Punt Coverage ranked 30th in the NFL Punt Return Average ranked 31st in the NFL Kickoff Coverage ranked 31st in the NFL Kickoff Return Average ranked 32nd in the NFL And who's brilliant resume is that? Bobby April. Bobby April who some people scream to bring back. I'm not saying everyone needs to drink the kool-aid, but I'm at least willing to cut the coaching and his hires some slack. He's still 0-0 in the NFL.

And yet Marv thought Dick Jauron was a good coach. If Marv couldn't be so wrong why not hire Trestman back when he was searching for coaches. It was only a couple years ago. If Marv KNOWS, then he should have KNOWN back then. Sean Payton and Bill Parcells both think Marrone is "the man." Both those coaches are Super Bowl winning coaches, which Marv is not. Point is, when coaches get hired, they always find someone who backs them and says they know blah blah blah. It all means absolutel nothing.

The Rodger Room on La Cienga in BH makes whats called a "Spiced Mule". It's spiced rum, ginger beer, lime juice and spicey simple syrup. Its really good. The Rodger Room in general makes some pretty crazy drinks. They make a fresh margarita with cucumber foam layer on it. Sounds really odd cucumber and tequila.... Tastes amazing.

See to my eyes Bryan Scott should have easily graded out as the worst linebacker. I think that was obvious to everyone who watched the games. But as NoSaint pointed out, because its a net total for a game, the numbers could be skewed. Case in point, the last game of the season againts the Jest. Bryan Scott had a INT return for a TD, which surely was a +2.0 for him and made up for any other bad plays he had. Which if you intercept a ball or recover a fumble, you shouldn't be given a pass for the rest of the game.

Always loved his attitude on Hard Knocks. Seemed super aggressive and got in the faces of players etc.

The problem is, your stringing together every coach and his staff as if they are somehow related. I don't think anyone is saying you aren't entitled to your opinion, you certainly are. But I think some posters are taking a wait and see approach instead of cruicfying the guy before he's even had a chance to coach. ESPECIALLY because he is an unknown. You/Me/Everyone else has no idea is this is a good hire or not. Sure you can speculate and have an opinion on it that may be negative, so you can say I told you so. But we won't know until the season starts and how the team preforms. The bottom line is this is entertainment. Why get so upset about it?

I've seen him in previous 3 years, so when the hype machine started I didn't understand it. He's played on very average ND squads and preformed ok. This year, ND upset some preseason favorites and his stock went through the roof. At the end of the day he is what he is. He's an average LB.

It's probably more like 95%....

Also have been saying it... The problem is, he has been on a very average Notre Dame defense for 3 years, then this year Notre Dame was good and his stock shot up. I was completely confused with all the hype surronding him. He will certainly become a solid LB, but should haver been considered a #1 overall(what MLB is?).

Not for nothing, but um the only teams who would be thinking highly of a coach is a team who NEEDS a coach. Why would any other NFL franchise care? So of course you wouldn't hear from San Fran, NE*, Pittsburgh, etc... But besides KC(who was hell bent on getting Reid), every other team without a HC had expressed interest in Marrone.

Exactly. Lets wait and see before jumping off cliffs. Like I said earlier in this thread, I haven't made up my mind yet and won't till I see what coordinators he gets. But ultimately I'm a Bills fan, so no matter who they hired, I'll get behind them.

Thats where I'm at. Just stunned. But I'll take a wait and see approach and obviously will be behind him when the season starts. I've heard good things about his defensive coordinator. I'll be interested if he brings him along.

I must say I'm completely underwhelmed if this is the choice. This screams as a Russ hire.
