  1. Incomplete. Although if it was an interception it was about as good as any punt.
  2. @ByTimGraham Don't know about Lovie Smith being the favorite for Bills job, but have been told Friday's interview went very well.
  3. It's always something... -He's got a winning record but 19-39 against winning teams -hasn't been to the playoffs in 5 of the last 6 years And yet... -he's 6-3 in the playoffs -been to 2 NFC Championships and a SB -went to the Super Bowl with Rex freakin Grossman As Bills fans we always find something...
  4. At least we will get to see this vaunted Chip Kelly offence next season when the Bills play the Browns!
  5. Not to mention the fact that he's talked to Bill Bellichick about it. Which to me, means it's less likely he comes to Buffalo. It surely can't be a good thing when Ole' Bill has already looked and semi-run the offense your bringing into the league. Especially when the Bills play the Pats* 2x a year.
  6. The fact that Belichick has picked his brain a bit has me a bit makes me hesitant as well about Chip. If it were any other team that the Bills didn't play 2 times a year it would be fine. But that means Belichick is studying Chip and figuring him and his style out. Is that really the best situation to bring Chip into? Would Chip want to even come here and face Belichik knowing he's talked to him? Idk if I'm over thinking it a bit...
  7. /thread According to another thread a poster heard from a friend who text him the Bills have hired Lovie Smith
  8. Whoops. Yea couldn't exactly remember. Still one if 2 guys to win a NC and SB. It's very rare.
  9. Sad is more like it, but true. One of 2 coaches to win both National Championship and Super Bowl. The other guy: Jimmy Johnson. Not that I'm supporting Chip. I'm very wary.
  10. Or Barry Switzer. Highly successful in College, took Dallas to SB in first year.
  11. Try this out though: the weather man says there is a 95% chance of rain, wouldn't you think it's going to rain? Predicting the weather is such an inexact science and usually weather men use numbers like 30% or 60% so it's hard for them to go all in. Like a weather man, being an NFL insider is an inexact science. And just like the weather your judged by your predictions.
  12. Step 1: hike ball Step 2: hand off, throw, toss, lateral to CJ Spiller Step 3: repeat steps 1 and 2
  13. I think he answered it as well. Refering to the Bills brand as being tarneshed.
  14. Yea, but that was all just a cover. Come on man, get your tin foil hat on. Brandon just held the press conference to appease the fans and sell tickets.
  15. This. It'll always be, that wasn't my choice so he isn't good enough. In relation to a QB/HC. Some people/fans just love to be pessimistic so they can say, "see, I was right".
  16. It was hilarious! Uh..... Uhh..... Brian Billick. Haha.
  17. New stadium on the horizon, wow.
  18. Not to mention, with Wannstedt's scheme, I still think we as fans have no idea what the talent level is at LB. Consider that Sheppard and Bradham came off the field, a lot. I'd guess the Bills where in base defence maybe 25-30% of the time. Meaning Bryan Scott was on the field a ton.
  19. Please do tell of these 7-10. I'm interested.
  20. Got the text as well... Very interesting.
  21. Huh? This years top QB huh? If there was a definite number 1 QB this year he certainly wouldn't go outside the top 5 and even losing the best the Bills would have picked would be at 6. Now they are at worst picking at 10, maybe at 8 or 9 if they are lucky.
  22. While normally I might agree. This draft is completely different than the last 2. There is no clear cut number 1 QB. In fact I'm doubtful a Qb goes number 1 overall. Maybe not in the top 5 at all. The Bills might be in the perfect position to get the 2nd best QB in the draft. Who knows?
  23. I think a lot of "rationale" posters point the blame at multiple places. Some weeks it was the defense, some weeks it was Chan's decision making and some weeks it was Fitz.
  24. See IMO, I don't think you can make that argument. The defense played well enough in a few games were the offense played terrible and did nothing. Who's to say that in the games that the defense played bad had they played good the offense would have put the same amount of points on the board. It could be when these other teams went ahead by a lot of points, their defenses played soft. Who knows? Maybe the only games you could argue are Tenn and the first NE game. But thats still only 2 more wins. Meaning 8-8. The problems of the Bills go much deeper than just the defense IMO.
  25. To add to this a bit, I think Sheppard gets lumped in with a lot of bad play. Wannstedt has played nickel/dime for much of the season, so the MLB has been Scott. When teams see this, they run the ball. A lot. And get huge gains. Generally when the Bills have been in their base defense, they have been able to stop the run, except when they run towards Moore who has been terrible in containment. I think another problem has been at Safety. George Wilson has been horrible in run support. Im not sure if its the scheme or him, but he just doesnt come down in the box and help in the run game. Searcy looks like the guy of the future.
