  1. How about the play where it was 3rd and long and Wannstedt had Kyle Williams drop back into zone coverage. A DT in zone coverage!!! Seriously? So what was the outcome of that 3rd down? First down Titans. Genius
  2. The guy has talent. As said previously in this thread, he is preforming better at this point in the season than Peppers was in Chicago. And think about the fact that Peppers was coming into a defense that was ranked much much higher than the Bills defense.
  3. What confuses me is why Wannestadt went back to the same defense played against the 49ers, Pats* and Jests. I realize Arizona's line isn't very good, but in that game, Wannestadt had DL standing up, moving around. Mario Williams switched sides a couple times. There were blitzes. Fast forward to the Titans game, and its the same old 4 down lineman. Bringing absolutely no pressure. Whats more frustrating, is where the hell is Marcell? Wasn't he suppose to be a monster in the run game? And I'm pretty sure Kyle Williams is no slouch in run support.
  4. I think everyone on this board agree's that the defense absolutely sucks. No argument there. The "rift" between fans is all about Fitz and how much blame should be laid on him. But the people who think Fitz is terrible aren't absolving the defense of how terrible they are.
  5. I'm just tired of losing. Period.
  6. His step-dad was the person who told him to get his act together. He got him into football his junior year of HS.
  7. Except Stevie doesn't have a Dad. He has a step-dad. But I'm sure this person knew that.
  8. Exactly. 8 pages? Man it's slow... EDIT: make it 9 pages!
  9. But doesn't that make it make the defense predictable? If they have 3 DT's on the field, you pass instead of run. If you see the wide-9 approach, you run the ball. Instead of disguising the defense, doesn't this telegraph exactly what they are doing, which should prompt the QB to audible?
  10. See, this was the Bills plan all along... The Bills, in all their wisdom, knew in training camp that Merriman wasn't ready to go. But they couldn't stash him anywhere or let him take up a roster spot. So the Bills brass said "Hey, Shawne, we're gonna cut you. But don't you go worrying, when you are all healed up in a month, we're gonna sign you back." Shawne, being the loyal player he is, goes along with this great plan. He even plays it up on twitter saying things like "I'm not a defensive end in this league." When, we as fans all know, Merriman was a stud DE in college. Then Merriman, gets healthy and boom, he's back. It's all part of the plan...
  11. this has to mean VICTORY!!! and they do like nice... here's the link to the photo for those who haven't seen them yet. http://instagr.am/p/QxQb5lQ2P4/
  12. How about, every year when the team doesn't like a way a position is being played, the Bills bomb out? That way, they get top choice next year in the draft. Makes sense.
  13. Meh, I'll be back Sunday to watch. By Monday morning, I have a clear conscience and realise this is just entertainment. Bad entertainment, sure, but entertainment non the less.
  14. Again. I get this argument, I really do. But explain to me this: Matt Cassell is not a good QB. Yet his defense can hold a Ravens offense to 3 FGs. They don't roll over. What gives?
  15. Agree. We all know Fitz is terrible. Guess what, Matt Cassel is terrible, you don't see the Chiefs defense laying down. In fact they held a supposed good Ravens team to 9 points. 9 POINTS! With what I would consider less talent. All the talk this week was about how Alex Smith isn't Tom Brady, so he won't do what Tom did to the Bills.... guess that was wrong.
  16. Pathetic. That performance does not deserve a response long than this.
  17. Spoke too soon. Looks like Rhinehart is out. Colin Brown starting in his place.
  18. And that they never investigated Fitz last year..
  19. At this point I'd put the NFC south as bottom. Yea you have the Falcons who are 4-0 but you got the Bucs, Panthers at 1-3 and the Saints at 0-4. That's bad.
  20. While I appreciate your response. Peterpan, in his post, said nothing of what you are describing. So what about when a team is down and forcing throws? Should those interceptions count against the QB, seeing as he's passing more and taking a lot more risks? Haha. Exactly.
  21. That's the mentality around here with some. They'll give every excuse in the world to other players but when it's a Bills player, they get no slack.
  22. So now Tannehill/Weeden are allowed excuses? Amazing.
  23. Per Jason La Canfora: Pats Brandon Spikes was fined $21K for unnecessary roughness(illegal blind side hit) I can only assume this is for the Chandler hit.
