This, I witnessed the Stanford/USC 3-OT game. Never was a fan of Barkely before the game. He changed my mind in that game. The kid has talent.

Per Ian Rapoport: Bills like Barkley in 2nd round
Wayne Cubed replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Many times? What's many times? And I didn't realize playing in snow in High School, translates to playing in crap conditions in the NFL. High school season's are roughly 8-game seasons... Maybe 2 of those were snow for Nassib... So if he started all 4 years in High School, maybe he played in 8? maybe... -
Per Ian Rapoport: Bills like Barkley in 2nd round
Wayne Cubed replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. Add to that what do teams do when it's crap weather? They put the ball in the running backs hands. They don't tell their QB to go out and throw for 300 yards and 4 TDs. -
Tomcat's 7th annual "Gimme Five" draft contest
Wayne Cubed replied to The Tomcat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Geno Smith - QB; Philadelphia Eagles Cordarrelle Patterson - WR; Minnesota Vikings Luke Joeckel - LT; Jacksonville Jaguars Tyler Effert - TE; Pittsburgh Steelers Dion Jordan - LB; Cleveland Browns -
If this is that route the Bills were going to go, some sort of receiver with the first pick. I'd rather they go TE, Tyler Eifert. Big guy, good blocker, great receiver. One of the almost "sure" things in the draft. Then if they decide to draft a QB with the 2nd or by trading up, nothing helps a rookie QB like a pass catching TE. Chandler probably won't be healthy by the beginning of the season. Makes more sense to me. Then, go WR later in the draft.

Its funny, I saw him play live against Stanford when it went into 3 OT's in 2011. He went toe to toe with Luck, and in many ways in that game I thought he outplayed Luck. I wouldn't say I fell in love with him at that point. But I certainly paid attention to him and had much more respect for him.

Now, I'm not saying that they are the same person, but the same was said about Tom Brady. Here's one of his pre-draft scouting reports: " Lacks a really strong arm. Can't drive the ball down the field and does not throw a really tight spiral." Maybe that's why he went in the 6th round, I don't know. But if Brady was able to improve on his long ball, it's entirely possible that Barkley can. It's something that can be fixed, and from the recent articles that have been posted about Barkley, maybe he has that same chip on his shoulder that Brady did to fix it. I certainly wouldn't take Barkley at 8, but I think he's an interesting prospect at the end of the first round. Possible worth trading up for. EDIT: I'm a fan of trading down a bit, grab Tyler Eifert, then grab a QB at the end of the first. Nothing more helpful to a rookie QB, than a passing catching TE.

Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse
Wayne Cubed replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or they want to get a good look at the QB they'll be seeing for the next couple years if the Bills draft him. Either way it's good intel. -
Chris Brown's annual mock draft.............
Wayne Cubed replied to ChanOverChin's topic in College Football
I'll quote my favorite line from the Departed substituting his name: "My theory on Chris Brown is he is like a mushroom, you feed him **** and keep him in the dark." -
Chris Brown's annual mock draft.............
Wayne Cubed replied to ChanOverChin's topic in College Football
Meh, I'm sure he doesn't know anymore than anyone else. He's only been right 1 time in the last 5 years and that was when the Bills selected Dareus, which was pretty much a given. -
I can see us trading down TWICE
Wayne Cubed replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. With what Schefter is reporting, its seems like there are 7 to 8 teams trying to trade down. Haven't heard many teams saying there willing to move up. I'd be surprised if the Bills find 1 trading partner let alone 2. -
Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse
Wayne Cubed replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea, I'm there too. Just doesn't wow me. Like I said earlier in this thread, if Marrone was given the chance to recruit a QB again, only this time he didn't have to compete to get them and basically had his shot at some of the most talented QB's, which he probably had no shot at while with Syracuse, would he choose Nassib, again. Guess we'll find out in the coming days... -
I worry we take a QB @ 8 just to placate fans
Wayne Cubed replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I highly doubt Nix would pick a QB just to placate fans. Just look at his history of picks. The Spiller pick certainly wasn't to placate fans, in fact it pissed a lot of fans off. Dareus, at the time, was a no brainer, and fell into the Bills lap. Gilmore definitely wasn't to placate fans, considering 4 years earlier they had picked a CB in the first round. And many fans loathe picking a CB that high in the first round. If the #8 pick comes up and they select a QB, it's because they think he is a franchise QB, not to make fans happy. Especially when 75% of fans can't even agree which QB they think is that one. So you'll end up pissing off the majority of fans for not picking the "right one." -
Per PFW, the contract is essentially 6, one year deals. With very little of the 96 million being guaranteed. So if he doesn't return to form they can just dump him.

Tweets from Bills practice = AWESOME!
Wayne Cubed replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And his response would be similar to the one he's already posted. Cause he can be. It's not easy being a 12 year old these days... -
It's great and all that you keep siting that article. But that doesn't prove anything. For starters it's Howard's own paper, probably written by a student. So the comments in it are hearsay and biased. Second lets talk about the reality of the situation, in 1973 when Wright designed the logo he was living in Long Beach. Howard University is in Washington, DC. How the hell did Wright see this logo? He couldn't exactly come across it on the Internet. And Howard isn't exactly a power house university. Third, where are the pictures of Howard in 1974 with this logo in their helmet?

Steve Johnson's interesting tweet.
Wayne Cubed replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At the end of the day, that's all Football is. Entertainment. Hell, that's why I follow him on twitter. Stevie Johnson is an entertainer and I have never had a problem with his off the cuff remarks. He's just being him. -
Marrone Changes Practice Facility
Wayne Cubed replied to SKRAAPY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Technically, I was referring to the AFL Championship banners and his comment about how banner's are very "collegiate." -
Marrone Changes Practice Facility
Wayne Cubed replied to SKRAAPY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea banners in professional sports are pretty lame... I guess having a lot of them is pretty lame too -
Thought last night was good. For me, first episodes of a new season are always to reestablish characters and plot line. Seeing as I didn't do a rewatch of Season 2 it was good and helped me remember what had happened.

Living in Los Angeles for 6 years, my friends and I would make the occasional weekend trip to Vegas. I've stayed up and down the strip. Vegas, IMO, is only good for a couple days. Anything longer than 2 days can get boring and expensive.
