  1. An actual report on training camp. Gee, what a concept.
  2. My whole problem with the situation today was he answered the question 2 times politely, move on. Find another story to write about. Maybe how the OL is doing? What about the battles at LB? How are the rookies fairing? And guess what, maybe the fans want to read about those issues just as much. What a concept. Instead, there is a massive local media backlash, where now they haven't written about anything BIlls related but themselves and that situation. EDIT: Kind of like this article - http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/61753/buffalo-bills-practice-report written by a Patriots reporter. More informative than the local media.
  3. I find this a bit strange, an AFC East blog post (James Walker) written by a Patriots* reporter (Mike Rodak) from ESPNBoston.
  4. Look I made a jump to conclusions mat...
  5. He turned me into a newt!
  6. Get in my DeLorean and I'll punch it to 88 miles an hour... But seriously, as someone who isn't local anymore, thank you for the write up!
  7. Buffalo Bills (@buffalobills) 28/07/2013 EJ + T.J. = TD #billscamp First TD of training camp
  8. Lets say Byrd thinks he's one of the best. Fine. That's a far cry from THE best. On his own, Byrd could certainly think he's top-5 and would settle for top-5 money. Whereas Parker tells his client your #1 and shouldn't accept anything less. Agents, in the end are just as much sales people as they are agents. Of course your scenario could be the way it really played out. Who knows? In the end, the Bills see Byrd as top-5, per reports, and not the #1 safety.
  9. Or, the player selects an agent, that agent "sells him" that he is the best FS in the league. That he should demand or expect top money. In the end it's in the agents best interest to get the most money he can get for the player because that determines the agents cut. So why wouldn't an agent, like Parker, who plays hard ball, convince Byrd that he is the best FS and can get top money? Yea, Byrd picked the agent, but I'm sure Parker "sold him" on his abilities and how much money he's worth.
  10. That was my thought. Why put that message out there?
  11. The Jest starting QB. This seems like a situation that is going to go south real quick. He then goes on to say he wants to have input in all the players who will play. Why have a head coach if your GM is going to force your hand? This to me seems like Ole Twinkle Toes days are numbered. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/07/28/john-idzik-says-hell-have-pretty-big-role-in-picking-quarterback/
  12. His year, statistically was as good/bad as Brandon Weedon. I honestly don't get the hype for Tannehill.
  13. Thread title change? Byrd skipping training camp.
  14. I love the show Futurama. The writer's assembled to write for it combined have PhD's in chemistry, applied math, philosophy, and theoretical computer science. Whats not to like?
  15. Slow news day I suppose... Happy Birthday Stevie.
  16. In principle that would make sense but if the Bills did that in 2011, would that have put them out of the Mario sweepstakes? Or be able to resign SJ13?
  17. Also, just noticed... the logo above the name is gone, as well.
  18. I'd say its pretty significant evidence that its changing. The Bills Store even lists it as "new" for the Stevie Limited jersey ($135 priced one). http://www.shopthebi...lls-jersey.aspx EDIT: It looks like judging by the Limited Jersey, which carry a lot of the same features as the Elite Jersey, the Bills are getting rid of the "flywire" collar technology. Makes me think that because apparently this flywire collar can only be made in a single color(blue for the Bills) they they've decided to get rid of it.
  19. This article references James Walker via ESPN, as it's source. I'll leave it at that.
  20. Maria Cramer (@GlobeMCramer) 27/06/2013 17:05 Hernandez's alleged victim, Odin Lloyd, may have had information about that double killings, officials tell us. Potential motive. Nice little bit of information there...
  21. Oh but I think you can have it both ways. Take for example Cleveland (I just picked a random northern team, with poor play, that has poor attendance in December). Of the 5 games being played in December, 3 are away and 2 are home. Add to that they only play 2 games with teams coming off extended rest. I'd say thats pretty much compromising and having it both ways. EDIT: I'm not saying I agree with the Bills complaining about it via their own blogger.
