I know this is a thread is a chance to bash the Patriots*, which is always enjoyable, but could it simply be that drafting DB's is difficult in general?
I think historically thats been the case. But I'm not so sure anymore. Look at Green Bay, yes it's a completely different team, I realize, Aaron Rodgers played 1 series.
Then look at the game yesterday. The Redskins had 2 of their top QB's sitting out, which won't be the case in the regular season. So how can that game be "like a real game." It can't be.
I did the same thing for the Miami/TB game.
-Tannehill has very little protection or time to sit in the pocket.
-Besides a 20 yard run by Miller, Miami's run looks questionable.
I made the comment after the last Patriots* game that maybe their offensive success in the first 2 games was due to them practicing against TB and Philly prior to playing them. Guess that might be the case.
Or it's still the preseason.
Quick twitter update:
Joe Buscaglia @JoeBuscaglia
#Bills GM Doug Whaley says the Nigel Bradham case is under review at NFL offices in regards to the personal conduct policy.
Joe Buscaglia @JoeBuscaglia
Whaley said Bradham has sat down and explained the situation in full with Doug Marrone and Director of Player Engagement Paul Lancaster
Joe Buscaglia @JoeBuscaglia
Whaley then said he'll wait for after the league's ruling to sit down and talk with Bradham about the incident. #Bills
EDIT: Unfortunately, for some board members, no mention to "cut his @$$ now."
He was playing with the first team during the game on Friday. Maybe he's practicing with the second team now, as preparation for his impending suspension?
I would have guessed this is what Bradham will get. First offense, it's a traffic ticket/summons not criminal possession. Can't see him getting 4 games. But Roger is wildly unpredictable.
That's if he is caught with just a positive result. He technically broke the law, so that'll fall under "Discipline for Violation of Law Related to Substance of Abuse Other than Alcohol"
Which I posted on the other page...
Interesting that it hasn't made headlines anywhere else except the Tonawanda news...
EDIT: no mention on twitter by any of the big sports reporters either...
Did you read the actual quote? He says every player at every position is competing for the starting spot, not just Tuel.
It's coach speak.
Edit: According to Marrones actual quote from the press conference, Torell Troupe is in a competition for a starting spot.
