Did you read the actual quote? He says every player at every position is competing for the starting spot, not just Tuel. It's coach speak. Edit: According to Marrones actual quote from the press conference, Torell Troupe is in a competition for a starting spot.

Preseason ends Aug 29th... So basically he's out for 2 weeks. To me this says EJ sitting out is all precautionary.

You mean the "quick-short passes" type of offense that has lead Brady and company to 3 Super Bowls and a hall of fame career? Yea, that doesn't win many games... Can you point me in the direction of a purely "vertical attack" with as much success?

The only caveat I would say about their offense and preseason success is they have practiced against both teams prior to playing them. Brady and the offense had to have learned something in those few days, about their opponents defense.

They were running, but when it came to 3rd down and Kolb had to pass... he was really inaccurate. Throwing behind receivers, etc.

I have this problem sometimes with Preseason Live. If I "hard close" the app and reopen it, usually fixes it for me. EDIT: By hard close, I mean double-click the home button, make the apps wiggle, then hit the red x

I'd also add, whoever the Bills #2 CB is vs Cordarrelle Patterson. He looked good in week one.

I find this statement a bit odd. Fitz's long balls were absolutely terrible. The 2 attempt's in the Giants game spring to mind. IMO I think Vick could actually make those throws.

I'll never understand the hype Miami got and more specifically Ryan Tannehill. The guy had a very smilar season to Brandon Weeden. I've beaten this drum in every Miami thread. I understand, Weeden, was suppose to come in and be more "NFL Ready" but analysts weren't talking him up after the season. In fact, they were talking about how bad he looked. Yet, Tannehill, puts up simliar stats to Weeden and somehow he's this new rising star? I don't get it. And I don't see it.

He was only off by one game last year for the Bills record...

IMO, thats not something that I would neccessarily think is always a positive, especially the play you are refering to. If he hits the TE early, the TE could have walked into the endzone. Instead he "looks downfield" then finally goes to the TE, who is practically out of bounds at that point, and the TE struggles to make the catch on a low thrown ball. That was an error on Tuels part. Yea, looking downfield is great and exciting, etc. But taking what the defense gives you is just as important.

The guy also does some crazy contests on Twitter. Before the game, he did a trivia contest giving away 2 tickets to the game, $50 spending money and 2 colts hats, to 12 people.
