  1. He gave Tuel an earful as well... The Buffalo commentators mentioned as much.
  2. Apparently you missed Marrone's press conference after the game were he acknowledge that he had to speak to Hackett, at the half, about calling more go routes and airing it out. Suppose you'll chalk that up to Marrone lying to save face for his young QB...
  3. And Tuel didn't play without his mistakes either. The fumbled snap. The forward pass fumble (has to feel the pressure and get rid of it faster). And the wide open TE that he waited to long to throw too, that might have been another TD but ended up incomplete. I liked what I saw from Tuel, but will temper my excitement a bit.
  4. Well I didn't see much from the 2nd selected Qb(Geno) that suggested he should have been the first selected Qb. Seems like they are critiquing as if he was taken 1st overall.
  5. (Just a guess) Confetti from halftime show or something?
  6. Impressed with the Bills ST. Good coverage, great returns.
  7. In the UK, the car company, it's 3 syllables Jag-u-ar
  8. Like that too. Especially on that sack, he was coordinating the switch on the line.
  9. I believe with most rookie QB's there are growing pains. Anyone who doesn't understand that, is just being naive. Even Manning, not comparing Manuel to Manning, had growing pains.
  10. I'm not calling anyone out, it is preseason. It's just interesting.
  11. I"m pretty sure there was thread when we hired ST coach... saying how bad his teams were, etc. Interesting.
  12. Agreed. The "big, big day" will be first game of the season, against the Patriots*. I think there will be 5(+/-1) overreaction threads, concerning his play.
  13. All you can do is wait and see.
  14. I noticed the TE as well, but because it's such a sore subject and Levitre is a former Bill, some fans are quick to say "I told you so."
  15. The great cut block? It was just a cut block, like I said, watch Roos on the play. And the sack on Locker, I know wasn't on Levitre, it was sarcasm on giving Levitre credit for everything good. The left side of the line as a whole, did a good job on that play. EDIT: His comment was that Levitre "sprung" the play. I'd argue that it wasn't him specifically. EDIt #2: And it's preseason, game 1.
  16. Not that I want to take anything away from him, but I wouldn't exactely say it was his specific play that sprung the long runs. On the first play, he cut block his guy, meanwhile Roos, took his defender to the other side of the field, which was a great block. I'd say Roos sprung the long run. As for the Green TD, Warmick actually pulled and opened the hole. He looked good, but lets not start giving him credit for everythin that goes well for the Titans. And the sack on Locker, came from the left side...
  17. If that were the case, that ALL of the sacks came on corner blitzes, than that would lower the number, sure. But as we know, all sacks do not come on corner blitzes with Brady or Fitz. That would screw the numbers just as much as a line that gives up all coverage sacks. Which doesn't happen either.
  18. In short, no. If a guy is going barreling at the QB, for a sack, that means his line didn't block long enough for him. It's not like the line choses which plays to block for and which plays to let a guy go barreling after the QB. One would think, on every pass play, the line is trying to hold there blocks for as long as possible. Yes, sometimes guys get through the block fast and sometimes QB's extend the play. But thats why that time is an average. EDIT: The fact that some some times are really low, can only mean that their respective lines are getting blown up, consistently.
  19. You're reading the data wrong. Fitz, on average, would get rid of the ball in 2.5 secs. Yes thats the 4th fastest time. That stat alone tells you nothing. A QB could get rid of the ball very fast for a variety of reasons. Maybe they run an uptempo, quick strike offense. That doesn't mean the offensive line can't block. If you read on, you see that average time to sack tells you more. The Bills average sack time was 3.61 seconds, meaning FItz had a full second more, on average, to get rid of the ball. Meaning the line was holding their blocks longer than required for him to get rid of the ball. Look at the other end of the spectrum. Roethisberger, on average gets rid of the ball in 2.76 secs, whereas his line, when its a sack only, holds there block for 2.43 seconds, on average. They aren't holding they're blocks long enough.
  20. I don't get why you don't "get it." It's training camp, the coaches need to know what they have and where they can place people in a pinch. Lets look at another example, the Miami Dolphins are currently trying out Mike Pouncey at RG. http://www.gainesville.com/article/20130728/WIRE/130729620 You could argue that thats a bit of a demotion for him. But as Mike Sherman says: It's pretty simple, it's training camp. Try all options.
  21. I was in last year as well, I'd like to participate again.
  22. Marrone is lying, obviously.
