  1. Well, I'm not reading about him in the papers in the Crime Report section, that's one thing. Plus, he's been a Bill now for years, and I'm willing to take an educated guess and I don't think I'm far off. Until proven otherwise, I'll stick to that.
  2. Yolo, I agree. EJ is still going through growing pains this season. There's going to be some ugly moments, yes, but there's going to be some great play from him also. That's just a natural fact. For me, I gotta just keep this in mind as the season goes along. Go Bills.
  3. Maybe this has been posted here already, but BOLD predictions? See the Syracuse newspaper about how the Bills can get 10 wins this year.
  4. Fred X is a wonderful human being, father, husband, and Bill! He's way more than just a great Bill. He's a great role model and asset to the community. We're very lucky he's a Buffalo Bill. When he retires, which I hope is a lllloooonnnngg way off, his jersey should be retired and name of on the Wall of Fame. He should be as revered as much as the Bills we revere from the Super Bowl years. Shoot, I hope he's still on the roster when we win a Super Bowl.
  5. 1. Bills offense is notorious for slow starts. I don't think they'll score more that 12 points. 2. Besides, it's a road game. Bills don't win road games. Do I want them to win? Of course! But #'s 1 & 2 above is the reality, until proven otherwise.
  6. 6 maybe 7 wins this year. I've been predicting 8+ wins for years now, but for one reason or another, we keep registering 4-7 wins per. It's amazing. So, that'll where I'll stay at until: A. they can win more road games, B. put teams away in the 2nd half of ball games, which seems to be the impossible dream each year. Go Bills.
  7. I just checked NFL Network's TV schedule. It's been changed to a mini-series.
  8. Great post! I love it !!!!
  9. Instead of the deep ball in preseason games, lets talk about Hackett in-general. Much of it has been pointed out. I think FeartheLosing on pg. 1 hit it pretty well. About Hackett last year, though, I'd like to add that it was extremely frustrating to me to see the lack of screen passes, slip screens, bubble screens, tight end screens....whatever! In Fred & CJ we've got great weapons that were, to say the least, under-utilized. Heck (no pun intended there ) even utilizing screens to a tight end would work, especially at a time in the game when it would be totally unexpected. The screen game in my opinion, was only one aspect of the "Hack-it problem." Other aspects of the problem were touched on well, previously. That's my 2 cents.
  10. "If we keep going in the same direction, we'll reach China, trust me." Chris Columbus, 1492.
  11. Prayers for you Jim & your family. Kelly tough, circle the wagons, all of that good stuff. Go Jim!!
  12. Marc, how about Le Cage Au Sports? They're a sports bar chain of those in Mont. and Quebec isn't there? I've watched Bills games there a few years back.
  13. An awesome post, man. Very introspective and heart felt. Thanks.
  14. Best whishes to you! Each day we have is a blessing, bottom line.
  15. I was wondering when this thread was going to get posted. This year I'm going to be realistic. 6-10, that's where the Bills are. That's where they finished last year, and that's who they've been the last several years, until they can prove otherwise. Until they can: A. win more games on the road, B. finish teams off, especially when they have the lead in the second half! Then that's where they are. I don't care about injuries, all teams have injuries during the season. It's past time to play at the next level, or two. FWIW, that's my 2 cents. Go Bills!
  16. I'm going to answer this in general terms. Any of the games during the '84 through 85 seasons. The Bills were one of the 2 worst teams in the NFL back then. 2-14 both seasons, so we went into those games knowing it wasn't going to be competitive. And they weren't competitive. Anytime you have quarterbacks named Dufek and Farragamo, you're not going to reach the promised land. All games were ugly, even the 4 wins over those two years.
  17. Thanks for the heads up. I know I'll be watching.
  18. Any game during the Jauron era. That was too easy. I gotta go w/ "The Comeback." It was surreal to me while it was happening. I could believe, but yet it didn't seem possible. And no sooner would I have that thought, Reed or somebody would score again. Something I think gets lost about that game, the Bills had the lead well before the end of regulation, something like 3:08 left. The Oilers had to make that field goal to PUT It into OT.
  19. Deep pass to anybody. Make a statement: "This is OUR time."
  20. Here, here. Well put, Kirby. A voice of reason. I've felt this way all along. It'll all play out well.
  21. Marv's Neighbor & I are tied. So far, the oldest.
  22. I kind of liked Kapernick (sp?) back a few years ago. Thought he had good size, strength, velocity on the ball, and could scramble. That's my 2 cents.
  23. You can't use those two names & "studied" in the same sentence. Its grammatically incorrect.
