  1. It's amazing how soft our players are. No one can stay healthy.
  2. Elite D so far. Like every week.
  3. I'm of the opinion that HGH and other 'performance enhancement' combine with the gym rat mentality as the cause of all the ligament and torn muscle sort of injuries in modern football... these guys are putting way too much stress on parts of their body that can't deal with the extra forces. So, I'm not at all a fan of HGH or other stuff being legalized for the NFL.
  4. The Dallas area got hit by some severe weather/tornados, multiple deaths and lots of damage... :/
  5. This is what kills me. We upgraded the offense significantly, and kept 99% of our defensive players.... Yet got worse as a team. That's the Bills for you. No hope. No matter what.
  6. Our offense is trending in the right direction. Our defense is not.
  7. Regarding dropped passes making Tyrod look less accurate... I was curious to see what percentage of his passes are dropped compared to other QBs... Googling gave me: http://www.sportingcharts.com/nfl/stats/dropped-passes-by-quarterback/2015/ I can't verify their accuracy compared to any other stat site though, so I suppose take it with some sort of salt. Clay is our top receiver when you look at usage rate, and he's a competent blocker, and runs well after the catch. I don't understand why anyone would be upset by signing Clay. He's a major improvement over what we've had in the past.
  8. I think this would be a very welcome change. Have true identifiable leaders of the lockerroom.
  9. It really sounds like it's a mix of a few things. - Some players are being hard headed, they loved last year's system and are dragging their feet into this year's... sometimes freelancing - Some players (related to the above or not) just simply aren't grasping the new system - The new system doesn't fit the players on the roster, and the coaches are still forcing it - The sub packages and play calls are coming in late *relative* to the offense. Whether that's our coaches getting things in late, or our players reacting slowly, or offenses taking advantage of a weakness, or a combination of the three, it's pretty obvious. Basically it all comes down to a complete disconnect between players and coaching. We clearly had success last year, and even the year before, with much of the same lineup. We have talented guys. I'm going to lay most of the blame at the feet of the coaches, but the players also need to do better at buying in and stepping up to the challenge, even though the challenge has been unnecessary, in certain ways.
  10. He's in full 'obviously' mode.
  11. Not really. He had us in position to win the game with 4 minutes to go, and our vaunted defense gave up the win. Not saying he's great, or even good. But as far as backups you could certainly do worse. Tyrod is stellar, EJ is a study nut, Roman's offense is pretty complicated... I'd rather head into next year with the same group for some growth and consistency for once. Realistically how much do you think we're going to spend on a similarly skilled 'vet' backup that would have to learn our system, and likely not be as mobile? I really don't think RGIII or Kaepernick are going to come here for cheap/no chance at starting.
  12. The bolded and Darby should have been on the team, period. But I guess I'm biased.
  13. I'm comfortable with Tyrod and EJ heading into next year. Tyrod has definitely performed well, and other than 5 minutes against Jax, EJ has looked better this year than with Marrone. Both are probably growing comfortable with Roman's complicated system, as well. The things we need to fix on this team are with defensive coaching, and defensive players, at this point. Again, imo, heh.
  14. My health insurance costs went down for the second year in a row with the same level of coverage. Seems I'm the only one in the US that's had that luck!
  15. Kinda sad that with all the talent we have, only one guy made it to the Pro Bowl... maybe I'm overestimating our players
  16. You pay money for big parts of your offense. Clay is a big part of our offense. Outside of McCoy, he's probably our highest use offensive player. He's also a good blocker, and can run well after the catch. Both things Chandler struggled with. As far as 'running from every thread', I do have responsibilities and interests outside of TBD, even with my fairly high post count. But I will be running away again, have a happy holidays and all that jazz.
  17. It's all relative. This offense doesn't pass a whole lot. But I guess anything to fit your narrative. You're not nearly as intelligent as you think yourself.
  18. Which is why many teams take QBs in the draft, to keep looking for young guys they can develop, even if the team currently has a mid level guy. I don't think we should take a QB with our first pick, but we should definitely consider looking at one in the mid rounds to push EJ in the pre-season for the backup, and maybe Tyrod in the future.
  19. Probably when the Bills stayed in Buffalo instead of being moved to LA. I think the land is cursed.
  20. The results do not indicate that we only need a new DE and MLB.
  21. He was the leading receiver on our team up until his injury. And as a usage rate, let's take a look: Clay 13 games, 80 targets: 6.15 targets per game... 32.6% of passes the Bills attempt go towards Clay. Chandler 16 games, 70 targets, 4.375 targets per game... 12.1% of passes the Bills attempted went towards Chandler. Gronk 13 games, 107 targets, 8.23 targets per game... 31.2% of passes the Pats attempt go towards Gronk. Conclusion: Clay is significantly more important to our offense than Scott Chandler was.
  22. Oh, ****, Pittsburgh ended up winning yesterday, didn't realize that!
  23. Fitzpatrick looks to be on his way too... and Chan... This doesn't make me sick at all. Nope. Edit: Dumb post by self, I'm an idiot.
  24. It really sucks we only got 2 years of 'the cold front'
