If we had last year's defense, and this year's offense, and a few less injuries... we'd be fighting for the #1 seed in the AFC, imo.

I'd love sone continuity for once on this team. Building on the good, and getting rid of the bad. Instead of getting rid of the good, and replacing with mediocre. Let Whaley/Rex build a team and a system for a few years. We're already on a good path.

Injuries and special teams are my only worries.

I'm liking that we have owners/front office people that are invested in holding on to our quality players. Feels different than the not too distant past.

I think this is important to remember. It's not just Dan who's missed a XP or two. I also think we should go for two more often. We have Tyrod, McCoy, Karlos, and Clay, all can get us two yards pretty easily, I'd think.

Prediction.... he'll make a great play early in the game. Someone will make/bump a dumb thread. By the end of the game he'll be a non factor, and McCoy will have won the game for us. Said poster looks like an idiot.

I think Gilmore has been more consistent, Darby has had some really great moments, but also some rookie moments. Can't complain about either much. My only issue with our secondary is that every DB seems to do the shoulder charge tackle, instead of trying to wrap a player's legs up, I feel like we miss a lot of tackles due to that.

My expectation is that we finish 9-7, with a loss to either Philly or Washington. Likely miss the playoffs in that scenario, but there's a chance that Pittsburgh struggles against Cincy and Denver.

Why? He's probably one of the better backup QBs, and he'll be in the second year in Roman's offense. There's a lot worse than EJ out there, but I suppose people only want to think about the Jax 5 minute meltdown.

Yeah, I hope we don't do some of the stupid stuff NE did on special teams. Punt out of bounds. No silly trick plays on kick offs. Make sure we have a solid hands guy that fair catches everything

Worrisome trend, is the last few weeks of hovering around 55% completion percentage. Promising trend, no interceptions lately, and taking less sacks (1.3/gm last three games vs 3/gm previous seven). What this tells me... Defenses are adjusting to our scheme and covering routes a bit better, so we're not getting as many easy completions. And Tyrod is recognizing pressure better, and getting a better feel for when to take off/get rid of the ball.

Hope so! Can't help but worry with that many good players missing on one side of the ball, though. As soon as we got relatively healthy on offense, the defense fell apart, sigh
