My issue with the idea of "If the Bills would have drafted XYZ, we'd have made the playoffs!" is assuming we'd develop the QB just as well. Wilson, Tannehill, Dalton, etc would have flamed out here because we've had TERRIBLE coaching staffs over the years, especially with how we've developed QBs. I think the current staff is better for developing QBs. Hell, I even see improvements from EJ (yes even with the pants shitting for 5 mins against Jax), and Taylor is certainly better than anyone would have expected. But in the past? I doubt it would have mattered unless we drafted a Peyton Manning.

Previews I keep running into are all saying how the Chiefs defense is gonna basically shut out our offense. Is this true? Are they as awesome as everyone claims?

It's tough. We've been inconsistent across the board, not really sure what to point to there. If we miss the playoffs, but finish 9-7 or 10-6, I won't be too mad. New systems, new key pieces, injuries, etc. If we finish 8-8 or below, I'll question every single part of this team

I hope the Bills have the foresight to give this young QB a couple years of consistent play time before pulling the plug. He's 5-3 as a starter, and still learning. Of course he has faults, I don't understand the expectation for him to be a seasoned hall of famer already. Let's not screw development up again because we're impatient.

I think even if we win 2 out of 3 of the AFC games and all of the NFC games, we can still get in. But would really rather get all 3 AFC games as Ws.

Its up to Roman/Rex if they are allowed to. I fully agree that a starting QB should have the ability to call their own plays during hurry up situations.

I'm glad the refs let the defensive players put hands on the QBs. Neither of them took unnecessarily hard hits, imo. I really hate that most games you can't touch the QB, but in order to play defense you have to put pressure on them.

Player execution and communication, imo, is the coach's responsibility. The Patriots have scrubs out there performing every week, and we have all these really good (on paper) players not performing consistently. It really comes down to quality coaching.

Once again he (and his staff) were out coached and out classed by the hooded one. That being said, he did better than the last time, at least.

I put that on the coaches. Trying to force a substitution when the Pats are hustling to run another play is just dumb.
