I'll stop watching the NFL if it's found that a vegas connection is what controls the outcome of games. I fully suspect there's a little bit of shady business going on, but I don't think its as deep as you and others think. I think we as Bills fans feel worse about it, because how can one team be so bad for so long?

The same way I justify watching MMA or boxing. Hell the same way I justify playing basketball for 25+ years now. We all know the risks, consenting adults are playing because they love the money, or the game, and that's a stronger force than the risk. The injuries suck, and I wish more players would walk away before their lives are permanently impacted, but its tough.

The only thing I can think of is having a booth guy with access to a couple key camera angles that can review something quickly and overturn a call if there's a meeting of refs for more than a few seconds. Shouldn't slow the game down too much, might pick up the flag on some of the bad calls.

Or its possible that more kids/parents are aware that rape is happening, and it's being reported more.

When you've been this good for this long, you earn the right to be a smug dick about it. Eventually, though, the run will end, like all great ones do.

What exactly can they do? They have to call these things at speed, while we get to review everything from multiple angles and in slow motion. If they review every call, that'll kill the game. Add more refs, will probably just result in more calls. There's not a whole lot of reasonable answers... it's best to just accept it as part of the game, kinda like the odd shape of the football that bounces a bit unpredictably, sometimes your way, sometimes the other way.

Maybe I'm naive, but I think the inconsistency in calling penalties is more due to the fact that the refs are human, and miss things/get things wrong, like humans do. We just have 100 cameras all in super duper HD to catch it all now. The hyper scrutiny is kind of ridiculous.

To be fair, our wins have come against the hapless Dolphins, a Jets team that beat themselves, the Titans and the Colts.

We must win at least 2 out of the next 3... the way the Chiefs and the Pats are playing... oomph. Even the Texans are rounding into shape. Hope our boys are up to task.

I think the Bills are playing better football the last couple weeks, but still have a lot of things to clean up... The Pats are as good as ever, but missing a couple important skill players. I go back and forth on "get blown out early like usual', or 'giving them fits in a close finish'. Either way, I'm expecting a loss, and hoping for a win!

Very much agree, there. It'll be interesting to see what changes she makes for the rematch. It sounds like she could use some new coaches/trainers as well.
