  1. 13 teams are between 4-5 and 5-4... 11 of them at 4-5. Talk about a cluster!@#$ in the middle, wow.
  2. I've seen him go through progressions, but he's not quick with it, and I think that has led to some of the sacks he's taken. I hope and assume that's something that'll come with experience and having a better idea of where to expect players on both sides of the ball.
  3. Not all sarcasm. I always believe in home field advantage, even if the numbers don't back it up this year.
  4. Yeah, just looking at the ESPN picks, didn't realize how many consensus games there were... especially surprised how many chose the Raiders over Vikings... and then combined with a few upsets. Ooomph.
  5. I predicted at the beginning of the year that our team, while more talented than last year, might very well end up with a worse record because of our schedule. My opinion has not changed.
  6. MNF + Patriots, I expect a huge loss. But I also expected a huge loss to the Jets on TNF and that worked out well
  7. Wow, Cortana and FiveThirtyEight had rough goings last week.
  8. We're right in the middle of the pack in most regards, higher in some, lower in others, but middle of the pack on average.
  9. Feast or famine
  10. Also another thing to remember, our 2014 offensive blocking was TERRIBLE, and 2015 is inconsistent, but our guard play (imo) is much improved.
  11. Kind of reminds me a bit of what Brady and Big Ben were asked to do early in their careers (if I remember correctly). Strong run game, with not too much pressure on the QBs shoulders, easy reads and easy throws. Then as time goes on, hand over more responsibility to them.
  12. Ignoring the rest, I love that Darby is getting recognition, he's been absolutely outstanding for us, and incredible find. Good job Whaley.
  13. Am I not allowed to recognize that the next three games will be challenging? I didn't predict losses for them all. In fact I think we have a better team than KC and Houston, but being on the road I wouldn't be surprised if we lose one of the two. If you have some sort of issue with me, say it, get it over with, and then we should just put each other on ignore. Edit: Just realized Houston is at Buffalo... huge for us!
  14. 2015 roster is definitely more talented, and I think Tyrod would give the 2014 defense some trouble, since the 2014 defense had trouble with QB runs iirc, and I think Clay would be a matchup problem. Also, I'll take Shady and Karlos over FredEx, Spiller, Boobie. The defensive talent is basically a wash... picked up a better CB, lost a better S. Coaching though... Roman > Hackett, Schwartz > Ryan... so another wash there. Going with the 2015 team in a low scoring game.
  15. So we have the undefeated Patriots, followed by a KC team that just beat the 7-2 Broncos, and a Texans team that beat the 8-1 Bengals.... Ouch.
  16. How healthy is each team?
  17. It makes no sense to put him in, unless they think they still have a shot at the playoffs.
  18. EJ played terribly for a few minutes against Jax, then was pretty average the rest of the game. He doesn't normally **** the bed like that, so lets not act like if you play Jax 20 times, he does that exact thing 20 times. Likely he does it once, and that's what we saw. We were also in position to win that game at the end, but the defense went soft. Does Cassel make enough plays to get the offense to score? Probably not, and we likely still lose that game. As far as FredEx vs Karlos? Karlos is much better right now, and for all we know FredEx gets injured and misses time as well, he is older after all... even though I love me some FredEX. The moves were solid, even if the results haven't been fantastic. We kept the better players.
  19. I'd be over the moon if we somehow get a victory in NE. It'd change all my perceptions about this team.
  20. If I was pessimistic, I'd see losses through the rest of the season. If I were optimistic, I'd see wins through the rest of the season. As it is, I see us winning a few, and losing a few, and likely missing because we have a tough road ahead. My apologies for being frustrated by that scenario after going through the same damned thing almost every year. Feel free to ignore my posts if they bother you.
  21. I could see us losing to @NE, @KC, @PHL/WAS, and vs DAL Basically another year of mediocrity. Yay.
  22. .500 last year (or so people tell me), .500 this year after our loss to the Pats. As much as I love the talent we've built, results matter. I'm not suggesting firing Whaley, but he also hasn't brought success to Buffalo.
  23. Prediction... Amendola will go for 150+ yards and 2 TDs.
  24. Chances are, even though we are in a good place currently, we miss out. It really sucks having this feeling year after year. Maybe some miracle will happen on Monday heh.
