  1. If you remove the insurance coverage regulation, and remove the mandates, isn't that exactly where we were in recent history? Weren't prices going up pretty quickly still?
  2. What regulations increase the costs of health services? Ones intended to protect the consumer, or something else? Curious also about how shopping across statelines would work for the same reasons B-Large list. That being said, it is a "free market" solution. Is that the solution? Just removing regulations? And then healthcare would be cheap, and higher quality?
  3. Correction... Bills and Jags made the playoffs in 1999. The last year the Bills were there. The Jags have gone twice since then. Sorry about that.
  4. Bengals and Dolphins are way more successful in recent history than us. Hell, the Jaguars have made the playoffs 3 times in the last 14 seasons.
  5. So it appears to me that support for healthcare laws (ACA or otherwise) is purely linked to price and coverage quality. Question: What change(s) would cause prices to fall WHILE improving coverage quality? Followup: What can we, the voters, do to implement the above change(s)?
  6. I think as long as the Bills remain one of the worst franchises in the NFL, we won't exactly get any lime light. People need to keep their expectations low until we win some games.
  7. No Thanksgiving No Monday Night/Sunday Night No Hard Knocks All these guesses that the Bills would finally get some limelight due to hardship and team excitement ended up being totally false.
  8. I'm of the opinion that if you want a certain (top draft) QB, you take him as soon as you can. It's too important of a position to risk guessing when he'll still be available.
  9. It's a good thing we have offensive expert, Nate Hackett.
  10. This place...
  11. I just wish we'd use him for more than go routes. The game where SJ and Woods was out, he ran other routes and I feel like he had his most success.
  12. Sucks... ****ty situation. But as far as "kids these days", in the past, it was much more likely a male would intimidate a female into saying yes, and it wouldn't be a big deal at all. So, at least there's that.
  13. Well, according to the experts here on TBD, we should trade up for Manziel, and EJ should be benched immediately, because he did a football camp like Mark Sanchez, and Mark Sanchez is the worst, so EJ must be worst, and Ralph is cheap.
  14. I'm not sold on him, but hopeful that he'll keep things aggressive.
  15. No brainer. So I'm surprised we did it.
  16. Whenever I look at CJ's stats the last two years, I instantly miss Chan's offensive play designs.
  17. I don't see the cheerleaders as necessary. But if they are a part of the team's marketing, they should be compensated properly, and treated fairly.
  18. Meh, it was just in response to the range point. (ie using 'range' for an argument, doesn't make much sense) As far as consistency. EJ clearly wasn't last year as a whole. But during home games, he was pretty consistently average to good. Road games, not so much. Which I think was the original point. I'm ok with a rookie struggling on the road his first year. Especially a rookie with limited pre season, and only 10 total games played, with a sketchy OLine, and questionable coaches heh. We'll see how it plays out this year. I don't understand this concept that EJ is clearly crap because of last year. To me he played about to expectations for a rookie *shrugs*. Years 2 and 3 generally give us the clear picture.
  19. It's pretty easy to predict that. Most would say the Jets got better over the off season, while the Bills stayed about the same, so far. The Jets are historically better (recent history at least). The Jets are a bigger market, so generally get the benefit of the doubt. They picked up a QB that many still think is good. etc etc Personally, I think they'll split the series again. I think the Bills will get swept by the Patriots. And will sweep the Dolphins (or maybe split).
  20. Only thing I'm disappointed in was the lack of Thanksgiving, or Monday night game. Everything else is pretty straight forward. Also glad the NFL fixed the "rest" bias. We drew tough teams this year, so I don't expect a great season, but that's just the rotation, nothing else.
  21. Society has been shown to come together in times of external threat. If said aliens came here peacefully, that'd be another reason why humans would come together more. But maybe I'm naive. I just think we fight among ourselves because we think that's all there is. If we're presented with something beyond our limited scope right now, I think we cut it out (mostly).
  22. Stevie looked a bit sad, or tired at the start, but his face lit up when talking about EJ and Spikes. EJ's interview was great. The kid has confidence. Hope he can put it together on the field. Spikes was surprisingly reserved in his interview. But at the same time very straight forward, I like it. Also like his views on Twitter. Love that he said he's going to be there for every day of offseason. It's good to have things started again
  23. His comments are a bit disappointing, but not surprising. Every player wants to play on a winning team, and make more money. The Bills aren't a winning team, and probably won't give him the most money.
