    One loss into the season and we need to bench/cut EJ, fire Marrone/Hackett, and trade CJ. This place is going to explode by the end of the season.

    No excuse, EJ needs to see things like this better. On that play he was looking at the defender, and his dump off, and that's it. He needs to be aware of what else is going on around the field.

    I was happy to see him take a slide. Being a big QB doesn't mean lowering your shoulder on runs. Being a big QB means you're harder to take down in the pocket. Which he has shown a couple times this season already.

    We're pretty low in offensive metrics, and average in defensive metrics that matter (pass defense, really), so it's not surprising to me that the media is fairly down on this team, even with the 2-1 record... and that's ignoring the 14 year history of being a loser.

    I pledge to tune in for the Bills vs Lions game, and scream lungs off in support of our guys in week 5. Nothing much changes. The Texans have a good D, and a mediocre O, just like us. It shouldn't surprise us if we lose this game.

    I don't think anyone here is claiming EJ is good, or great, or guaranteed will be great. I think the "supporters" believe he's probably the best we have, and he deserves time to develop to see what we have. It'd be nice to just pick up a UDFA and have them be better, but what are the odds of that happening, especially with our offensive coach and offensive line?

    Even with the loss against the Chargers, I think we have a fair shot at being 5-1 heading into the softest part of our schedule. Will it happen? Odds are, no. But these are winnable games coming up.
