I chose Vick...
But really, it's a lot of guys with so many pros and cons.
Vick was chosen because he's the only guy other than Orton with past success, and Vick has had slightly more of it. Potential? I think EJ and Geno could bloom into something special, but could also end up being nothing at all. Tannehill, probably is what he is at this point, but stranger things have happened.
Is there an "I don't know?"
I don't care for the drama that Rex brings... the results seem to be fairly similar, so I'll take Marrone and EJ
I have to wonder if part of EJ's success on 1st downs is because everyone *knows* Hackett is gonna run on first down (or at least that's the perception).
I'm not going by logic, I'm going by the rants on the forums about how bad just about every position on this team is. My sarcasm can be hard to pick up on sometimes, sorry about that.
Well, if the QB sucks, and the main RB doesn't get into space (we'll run him up the gut until he pukes), and our WRs suck (because they don't get the ball, because the QB sucks) and the TE sucks... not really sure what that leaves us for offense. I predict a 4-12 record based on expert analysis of TBD.
So, if I understand correctly according to TBD... Our QB sucks, our OL sucks, our WRs suck, our TEs suck, CJ sucks, and our CBs/DBs suck.
We only have strength at all of 4 positions, yet we are 2-1. Man, the rest of the league must really suck.
Let's not act like Fitz never has good games. In fact, I'd say he's about a 50/50 guy. Bad Fitz showed up last week for the Texans, we shouldn't expect bad Fitz to show up this week.
It's not going to be an easy game, and there's absolutely no guarantee of victory, especially on the road.
Chan was better at one thing, and that's utilizing CJ, that's about it. If he could come in as a "screen designer" or "guy who tells Hackett to not power run CJ up the gut" guy, I'd support it. The rest is different scheming, but as above shows, mostly the same.
I have no idea what to think.... I'm choosing to be optimistic
So.... bounceback game for EJ, Bills force a couple turnovers, and fly out of Texas with a 24-10 victory.
Preseason is the only situation I support a Toronto game. I don't like when any team loses a home game because the NFL wants to push it's brand to new places.
This idea that EJ will never improve is kind of odd to me...
Last year: 58.8% / 6.44 YPA / 1.2 TD to INT ratio
This year: 63.2% / 7.05 YPA / 3.0 TD to INT ratio
Is this good enough to be top 10? No. But I think it's pretty clear that he's progressing on average. He had a crap game against the Chargers, but the first two games of the season were very good. There's 13 more games this season, and we're 2-1, with some very winnable games in front of us. I don't understand all the finality in discussing things.
