  1. I'll be surprised if we get picked at all, honestly. Playing on the road after a QB change, against one of the better teams in the NFL? Yeah, it's gonna be an ugly Sunday.
  2. I used to go out there when I lived in Reston... it's a good place, fun times.
  3. All four teams have major questions on both sides of the ball... Even though we beat them, I see the Dolphins as the most "secure" team right now.
  4. I think I am going to change my answer to Orton... considering the talk already, sheesh.
  5. EJ doesn't need to be perfect. Orton doesn't need to be perfect. But one of the two needs to recognize and hit open WRs when the opportunities are there. The point of 9 wins is playoffs. And from there, any given Sunday. I can't believe that's even a question.
  6. 23 is higher than I was expecting.
  7. What's better? - EJ starting, and winning this game, but the team finishes 7-9 - Orton starting, and losing this game, but the team finishes 9-7 My point is, Orton might not be an improvement for a game or two, but might end up being better over the course of the season. Hence why I won't be outraged and yelling for a change back to EJ if we lose this weekend.
  8. Many TBDers too.
  9. Then you have impossible expectations. We are not going 12-0 with Orton, sorry buddy.
  10. Wow, high expectations here... so Orton has to light it up against one of the top defenses, running this craptastic offensive scheme, and having been on the team for 5 weeks, and likely not getting much time withe the starters in practice? Not a whole lot of patience here. I have no problem if Orton throws up a stinker this week (other than it'd suck because we'd likely lose)... if he throws up stinkers a month from now, that's when I'll have a bigger issue with the move.
  11. Yeah, hopefully Marcel is up for the challenge. He needs to swallow up blockers and let the next guy up shine.
  12. Because he was asked a question by media.
  13. I fully expect Orton to not play that well, and for the Bills to lose this weekend... the Lions are looking pretty good defensively. We'll see what happens against the Patriots, though.
  14. Based on the one game, and hindsight being 20/20, we should have drafted Bridgewater. If Bridgewater stinks it up, then we made the right choice by not drafting him. If he's a hall of famer in the making, we made the wrong choice. Moving goalposts and all.
  15. Hindsight being 20/20, I guess we should have drafted Bridgewater, but, you know, hindsight and all.
  16. I don't understand why this is getting spun with such negativity. Sure, Orton isn't the greatest, but we know he can play football and throw it down field. I don't think it speaks poorly to Marrone or Whaley, either. Their intention was to have Kolb be the starter last year, but that fell apart. They reached out to Orton early after his release, but Orton wanted to wait either for more money, or a guaranteed starting job somewhere, and when nothing panned out, he took the best offer, which was ours. Was it the ideal situation? Hell no, but also, I don't think it's nearly as bad as people are making it out to be. We may have picked the wrong QB in the draft (that happens), but lets not act like they haven't been trying to get a veteran QB in here as well. Kolb last year, Orton this year... could do much worse.
  17. See, I feel like that's generally how it goes... 1-2 yard carry, then a broken play with 7+ yards. If there's a hole, most RBs will get more than 4 yards out of it. If there's no hole, then you don't get much, especially if you're a small back.
  18. It really will be interesting to see if any of the dumpster fires in our division can turn into something salvageable.
  19. Knowing our luck, we'll have a London home game, and a Toronto home game. :|
  20. I'd like to know how the "average" RB gets 4 ypc, since CJ sucks because he gets a couple big runs, and then smaller runs. Do other RBs literally just do 3, 4 and 5 yard runs to get 4ypc?
  21. This does make me nervous... both looked like they could be multi week injuries on the field...
  22. Fitz on this team would get us to the playoffs. The teams he played on here had ATROCIOUS defenses, and they were always playing from behind, it seemed. Anyways, he's not a HoFer, he's not "good", but he can get it done, and has a hell of a heart. I wish him the best of luck.
  23. Hackett. !@#$ that guy. 44 passes, !@#$!
  24. Neither are they. In fact, the teams we beat are stronger than the teams they beat, imo.
  25. The big thing will be, will Orton recognize open receivers, and hit them. If he can do that, it'll be an improvement, even if he misses tight coverage passes like EJ does.
