  1. Wilfork may be over the hill, but he's nothing to sneeze at, imo.
  2. Especially after the Pats just destroyed the Bengals.
  3. I like that he recognizes and decides quickly, BUT, that also caused the pick 6, since he saw the DB playing soft man, he assumed he'd have an open pass, but instead the DB was playing a zone right there... hopefully that's not a problem going forward, since it almost lost us the game. Other than that, he was great, imo.
  4. The Bills defense sucks because we could be 1-4 right now. Well, that's the best logic I've seen on the internet this year.
  5. Pretty big for a rookie to be working into leadership roles already. Awesome.
  6. I couldn't care less. For all we know, Orton could be productive for us for 4-5 years, allowing us time to figure out a pick, or a FA pickup in the meantime.
  7. We'll move up to 20 or so, the Pats will move to the top 3
  8. 5th (best) in turnovers given up 5th (best) in turnovers caused 1st in overall turnover ratio We lost two games because of our offense, our defense has been doing it's job, mostly.
  9. Excellent news all around!
  10. 5th in overall yards per play 5th in turnovers 11th in net yards per pass play 2nd(t) in yards per rush 23rd in pass percentage 4th(t) in interceptions 1st in sacks 5th in points per game given up (would like to see only offensive scores counted on this, but whatever) 2nd in opponent score percentage (opponents only score 24% of their drives on us) 5th in opponent average plays per drive 3rd in opponent average yards per drive 1st in opponent average points per drive 1st in opponent 3rd down conversion % Looks like we have a damned good defense so far outside of coverage on pass plays.
  11. If Kyle was eligible (ie, if he had enough starts), he would be ranked 30th in ESPN's total QBR. http://espn.go.com/nfl/qbr Handing him an award is a little premature. He played better than EJ, and that might be all that we need, but that's still bottom quarter of the league levels... (His best year as starter, his QBR is 52.7 would rank him as 25th this year, for what it's worth)
  12. To be fair, Wood hasn't been great this year... but the guard situation next to him is a disaster.
  13. It's not about which team specifically, it's about "any given Sunday" and our team not being significantly better than our opponents. Meaning that I agree with you on NE and KC being challenges, and the rest of the games we "should" win, but at least one of those opponents will play well, while we play bad, because humans are human, and things happen. Edit: I should say, I expected to lose to Detroit this weekend, so maybe this team will continue to outplay my expectations.
  14. Kyle has a penchant for injuries? I thought he just had the one year when he was out significant time... 2011 he missed 11 games 2009 he missed 2 games The 6 other seasons he played all 16 games.
  15. If we play to our capability, we can win each game. But, this being the NFL, and us not being dominating. I'm realistically expecting a 4-3 run.
  16. Without an answer at QB, I have to say it's not worth it. That being said, I'm glad he's on our team, because he's a wonderful WR.
  17. Who said anything about going long every down?
  18. It's early, but that's some more good news!
  19. If they aren't AJ Green right away, they are a bust, and they suck.
  20. The thing I don't get is.. Goodwin has more skill than just running deep. When Woods and SJ were out last year, they had him running actual routes, and he did phenomenal. I'd love to see us get him some crossing routes, so he can turn on the afterburners and get crazy YAC.
  21. Hope we get KW, Bradham and Searcy back for the game. I imagine we'll be seeing plenty of two TE sets, and no huddle offense. I think we'll have to go with some sort of heavy Nickel, with Graham or Duke (if Searcy is good to go) out there instead of Robey. Though, Robey would be good to cover Edleman with. Hm...
  22. Other teams are doubling Dareus. Kyle Williams has been flushing QBs to one side or another. Mario has been collapsing from his side, plus there's usually a RB/TE chip on his side (I think). All Hughes has to do is beat his guy, or just shove him into the QB, and the rest is done
  23. I dunno, Gay apparently has the stronger leg. Or maybe even Schmidt.
  24. My only real beef with Hackett is the insistence of running the ball up the middle at odd times. Well, that and the fact that he can't figure out that CJ isn't an every down power runner.
  25. 99% of players would take the contract. Gotta collect as much money as possible before the career is over, since there isn't much for most football players after the fact.
