  1. Those outside kicks, he should have cut it inside on both, for a couple yard gain, instead of multiple yard losses going out of bounds. Basically what I saw during pre-season. :|
  2. CJ, the person, seems awesome. CJ, the player, is frustratingly inconsistent, but fun to watch sometimes.
  3. I'm keeping my expectations low. He's a decent back, but he's not so good that he can overcome our crappy line play.
  4. There's also the probability that EJ doesn't find himself backed up with the same sacks that Orton got. Not saying EJ gets it done or not on that drive (he has before, and he's also failed, so who knows), but he's significantly better at avoiding sacks, and has made quite a few plays from broken down pockets.
  5. Three of our four wins have been because of 4th quarter/Overtime game winning drives. We're playing close games this year.
  6. Numbers to chew on for you two. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/2014.htm#passing::none
  7. Woods would probably help this offensive line, sadly.
  8. EJ is clearly not the answer right now.
  9. Can you imagine if we had an OL? Less turnovers, more ball control (with successful run game)... these tough wins would be easy, and the close losses would be wins. Oh to dream.
  10. I'm not going to make great predictions for a Bills victory... Bills have looked bad lately, the Jets have played two solid games in a row, it's in New Jersey, both teams have stout defenses, and terrible offenses... Yeah, I'll just cross my fingers.
  11. On records*: Bills SOS: .576 (4th highest in the AFC) Jets SOS: .529 (8th highest in the AFC) Bills SOV: .550 (3rd highest in the AFC - 2nd highest of AFC teams with a winning record) Jets SOV: .000 (14th highest in the AFC - tied for last) * - from ESPN.... I'm not sure this data is entirely correct, as it has Jax as having a .000 SoV, when they beat the 3-3 Browns... not sure how that works.
  12. I kind of expect this game to be 3-0 victory for whomever wins.
  13. The Jets are a better team than their record, and the Bills might be worse than their record... this happens every season where teams aren't really equivalent to their records. Combine that with the fact that the Jets are more popular than the Bills, and we lost our two starting RBs, it's not surprising.
  14. I'll take an INT a game, as long as there are 2+TDs per game, and he continues to complete 68% of his passes, many of them downfield. My bigger beef is with fumbles, but a big part of that is that he's a pocket/downfield passer playing behind a crappy line, and with an unproductive running game. Put Orton behind a solid line, and I feel some of the turnovers don't happen. I believe EJ would be better with a better Oline, and a more consistent running game, just as I think Orton would be better as well. Orton, though, is a better passing QB at the moment, and with our weaknesses, that's what we need.
  15. Hopefully Orton can get rid of the ball quickly. I'd rather see him throw it at someone's feet than take 10 sacks.
  16. Who's surprised by it? I think people just want him to tighten it up a little, not sure if anyone is actually expecting it though. Orton gives us better production in the passing game, which is an absolute necessity, due to our run game's inability to maintain productivity. EJ may have a higher ceiling in the future, but right now the Bills don't want to "waste" the season on development.
  17. My only beef with Orton is the amount of turnovers. He's thrown for 5 TDs, and he's turned the ball over 5 times. If he does a better job protecting the ball, then I'm all in. If he continues this path, I'm not going to be offended if we look into other options next year.
  18. I'd be ok with Hackett bringing back the hurry-up offense at times against this Jets team. Gotta gas their D-Line.
  19. Hopefully this doesn't turn into another 2011/2008 sort of season, but at the same time, I don't remember us winning very many games in which we screwed up so much, in the past.
  20. Hogan has been impressing me the last couple weeks, I'll give you that. If he continues to play at this level, I'll understand why Williams has been demoted. Hogan is a good route runner, with dependable hands, and seems to churn out tough yards. That being said... Williams is (supposed to be) good at catching errant passes, so I have no idea what's going on. In the end, I don't care who it is, as long as they make plays.
  21. Depends on what Bills team shows up. Depends on what Jets team shows up. These two teams are pretty even, IMO.
  22. He's statistically the same/better than our QBs, kinda drives home the point
  23. QBs don't grow on trees. There's only a handful of good ones in the league.
  24. That's exactly the sort of player he is
  25. We should have won that game more handily, the fact that we pulled it out after all the mistakes makes me feel pretty good, actually.
