  1. Obviously I'm no expert, but that certainly seems optimistic... I'll take it!
  2. I do want to note, that I am a fan of Watkins, and I'm glad he's on our team. But considering this teams various weaknesses, I'd rather have the multiple picks. I think the Browns "won" that trade, but their GM doesn't make good picks, so it doesn't really do them any good.
  3. So by that logic, the Browns will have two awesome picks next year.
  4. Our first round pick last year sucked. This year's pick turned out pretty good. Who's to say what will happen to them? They'll be happy to have two chances, though.
  5. Hopefully Brown lives up to his potential... it'll be tough with our blocking, and his tendency to bounce runs outside, but we'll see!
  6. I'm not sure how hot the market is for CJ, considering the down year and injury history. Maybe someone will overpay him, but I think he'll stay.
  7. When they have two decent 1st round picks, next draft, they probably won't be complaining much.
  8. Not in a huge way, imo. Considering a big part of the injuries is our intensity in the front seven.
  9. It's pretty interesting that a scheme change can take a mostly same defense from being awesome against pass, and crap against run, and flip it to awesome against the run, and crap against pass.* (*generalized descriptions)
  10. To be fair, the type of runner CJ is, that's what he needs to do, he needs to explore whatever hole is there, there's just not any holes. Fred and Boobie need to just pound it straight forward. CJ would work with a scheme that opens up lanes, gets him the ball in space (screens, passes, etc), and has good second level blocking. This is not that scheme, and therefore, he doesn't work. He doesn't belong on this team with the current scheme. Either the scheme needs to change, or we need to use a different running back.
  11. Our team hits hard.... and if it were another team, I'd probably call us a tiny bit dirty. I'm ok with it.
  12. The only way we win the division is if it doesn't come down to the last week of the season. No way we beat the Patriots that week.
  13. I'd prefer Williams over Hogan and Goodwin, personally. Goodwin is only used to run deep, and Hogan is a special teams guy, with no exceptional receiving skills (7-11, right, ok). But hey, we have a philosophy. Stevie was a leader, he was shipped out. Woods was a leader, he was put on timeout. Williams is a leader, he's benched. Meh.
  14. We have been throwing more on first down in recent weeks, but we are also less successful at throwing on first down, for some reason. I think both of Orton's INTs have happened on 1st down throws, and our completion percentage is low as well. Not sure if they are calling riskier throws, or if its bad decision making, or what.
  15. I'm down with giving Brown and FJax a split in carries this week. CJ isn't the only problem, and he can be good... he just needs to be in a certain offense, and this is definitely not it. Maybe Brown, FJax, and Boobie can pound away and get us consistent positive yardage.
  16. I'm thinking Gareth and a small group survive, and then hunt down Rick's group of merry travelers, and we see a couple main characters die this season. Also, I kinda wonder if the guys who attacked Gareth originally might be part of a certain future villain's group. Indeed... Gareth and his group are going to get a main character or two... which is going to give Rick, and the viewer, all the satisfaction, when the machete hacking happens.
  17. I thought we would have shown more competitiveness against NE, so I'm a little more down on the team than I was last week... Thus, I'm going with a 20-20 tie.
  18. My only assumption is that the Rams are going forward with Davis and don't want to pay Bradford big money to be a backup.
  19. Also, I hope Duke Williams is about as far from the field as possible.
  20. I'd be fine with Orton, Bradford, and EJ competing for the starting job next season, with a new OC.
  21. Vikings are going to have a field day against our pass defense. Hopefully we can cause enough pressure to disrupt it... otherwise, I'm not confident our DBs can cover anyone, anymore. :|
  22. Second game in a row where announcers have openly questioned the calls against the Bills. Really weird.
  23. DBs always dive at TE's knees. Or is it ok for opposing DBs to constantly target Chandler's legs?
