  1. My one and only complaint about Orton was the pick 6 yesterday. That was really the only truly bad decision, imo. The rest were solid, he threw some good balls, he threw some bad ones, but that's football. We have good WRs that bailed him out a couple times, and that's also football. Not really sure where the debate is.
  2. I think we have some cap room coming up due to dead money expiring, so that should help. Also helps that a good portion of our offense is young and under contract for a couple years. We might have some flexibility. I'm actually most worried about Mario Williams contract, wonder if he'd be willing to restructure.
  3. Check out the "EXP" value over on PFR: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2014/opp.htm#team_stats::25 We're number 3... not bad at all. But look at the other teams in the top 6. We certainly haven't had it easy so far, and won't this weekend either. Ouch.
  4. Good for him, hopefully he gets a visit from the police too. You can really damage someone's eyes with those things (depending on the power).
  5. Needed the Bengals to win tonight, but it's like they simply don't care.
  6. The Bengals are playing 'Stache defense.
  7. God dammit... looks like the reports of NE's demise was a bit premature... marched right down the field.
  8. Updated, good catch, even if you're being sarcastic, it's actually an excellent every day example of language that needs to be changed to be more inclusive of all sexualities, genders, and race.
  9. If not for the pick six, he had an excellent game!
  10. Looking at her tweets, this one is just heartbreaking. It's gotta be tough to be a football partner/spouse sometimes in that regard.
  11. Brady isn't nearly as good as he used to be, but he's still a decent QB... the front office of New England has just absolutely screwed him over the last couple years... very few skilled players... it's like they were trying to save money, and just figured "it'll be fine, we have a great coach and QB". Sorry guys, you still need a team out there.
  12. I consider myself in the pro-Spiller crowd. In that I think he can be very effective in the right offenses. In this offense? Not so much... we need power backs for this offense.
  13. Love that term. And I wish we used him like that... the Woodhead/Welker sort.
  14. Their QBs are combined 5/28, wow. Even EJ didn't play that bad.
  15. It's been dominating so far.
  16. I hope he can stay involved with the team after he retires.
  17. Field position is important, especially with our team.
  18. Wonder if we can get away with benching Gay for a game, to get Brown a few carries.
  19. Seriously, those last two kicks... some of the worst I've seen. I mean, every kicker has a bad game, but not like that.
  20. I think we'll offer him a contract meant for what he should be... a situational runner, or a guy who is used more in the slot/space more than anything. But another team will give him starting RB money, so I don't think we keep him.
  21. Spiller is only effective with decent blocking. FredEX works still, because he's basically converted into a power back as he's gotten older. He gets hit at the line, or +1-3 yards, then takes a defender for a couple yard ride. CJ, gets hit at the line, and it's basically over. He really is a situational player, I wish we would use him more as such.
  22. Chargers off to a good start, but Philip Rivers has a hurt hand, could be something to watch. Also, the Chargers got bailed out like the Lions did on a PI being picked up hah
