In a year we don't have a 1st round pick, I consider our 2nd round pick to be incredibly important. The player needs to be a guaranteed NFL starting player at a position of need. If Orton continues his success, and EJ grows (according to the coaching staff, since we can't see it right now), then using a 2nd round pick on the *hope* you get a QB that ends up being top 10, seems too risky, especially with our weaknesses on the offensive line, and other areas. I think we wait until the 2016 draft before we think QB again in early rounds.

Frankly, it's unlikely there will be a better veteran option than Kyle Orton in the off season, and drafting a guy in the 2nd round isn't any guarantee that he'll be better than KO or EJ... so as of right now I have no problems going into next season with KO and EJ battling it out for the starting role.

Not really sold on this metric, personally, but at the very least it's interesting to look at. As we saw a couple years ago, the type of extreme turnover differential we've been experiencing isn't really sustainable, generally speaking.

To the OP, or an admin/moderator, feel free to add the stats from my previous two posts to the original post for for clarity of comparison.

Bye weeks are nice in that it gives players time to heal... but it feels like a lot of teams come out sluggish following a bye week. -
The Broncos played the Jets as well!
-
If he can get a bigger contract on a better team, there's no reason for him to stay. Technically he's not allowed contact with other teams until he opts out, but you know his agent will be talking to "sources".

It's nothing mind blowing, it's just a simple ranking to see where teams stand...

Glad to hear someone on the team talk about play action... seems like we kinda dropped it recently. -

The Chiefs are looking really good by all accounts, there's no reason to be offended by people predicting them to beat us. -
I agree with your terminology, but was using the linked site's term for accuracy's sake in linking. My apologies. And your link is for simple QB Rating, not ESPN's Total QBR number. Confusing, unfortunately.

I'm still calling for Hackett's head.... don't remember about Crossman... wasn't our only real issue the punter who is now gone? -
What about 3rd*? (KO only)

Look at the Safety edging towards Watkins side of the field. Nice. -
Kansas City; What's going to happen?

We need to produce more first downs, and control the clock better. KC won't turn the ball over much, and their defense is pretty staunch from what I've seen. Basically, once again, another game in which I am not at all confident in the results. -

As has been discussed here in the past... QB Rating differential is a pretty solid way to rate NFL teams these days... so where do the Bills stand? http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/stats/2014/9/PRD/ Rank Team Off PR Def PR PRD 1 Denver 118.58 82.33 36.26 2 Green Bay 110.32 82.13 28.19 3 New England 106.12 86.76 19.36 4 Cincinnati 91.89 73.01 18.87 5 Pittsburgh 107.14 91.47 15.67 6 Dallas 105.02 89.74 15.28 7 San Diego 109.51 94.47 15.05 8 N.Y.
