  1. That's some good news there... hopefully San Diego's line isn't all that spectacular (I'm utterly ignorant of the team outside of their bigger names).
  2. That's BS, sorry. Sometimes a DB will be in position to break up any ball that could be completed to the WR. That's what good DBs are paid to do.
  3. "Newcomer Kelvin Sheppard missed the critical tackle on C.J. Spiller's 102 yard kickoff that was returned for a touchdown"
  4. That, and Williams is horrible. Jesus.
  5. Damn, that's nice. I think, right? Isn't above like... 20something good?
  6. I recommend the thread title be renamed to "Does PTR even read?"
  7. We should have signed some recent Chargers cast off... hmph
  8. Huh? Covergirl has a deal with the NFL to run makeup looks based on each team. The picture posted in the article linked is a RETOUCHED version of Covergirl's original, to add the black eye. The work on the original was likely done before the Rice video surfaced, and also likely didn't have involvement from the Ravens. http://www.covergirl.../nfl-collection
  9. Fractured ribs would take a month or two to heal with rest... can't imagine they'll be healing if he's getting pounded every week. Oomph.
  10. To expand... Based on the first couple of weeks, I see 2 "we should win" games left on the schedule. 1 game that "we should lose". The remaining 11 are all up in the air at the moment, and I give us a 50% chance of winning. So my new "expectation" based on two weeks of action have changed to about 9-7, which is vastly different than my expectation of roughly 5-11 going into the season. But, if we put up a stinker this weekend, and show some serious flaws, then those expectations may or may not change.
  11. Of course they mean nothing. It's just analysts and their opinions, and some of us like looking at them for fun/curiosity.
  12. Yes/No My expectations are certainly kept in check. 2-0 doesn't have me expecting playoffs. BUT 2-0 certainly makes me more excited to watch our team than 0-2 would.
  13. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000395698/article/nfl-power-rankings-week-3-chargers-soar-seahawks-tumble #9 We're almost guaranteed to lose to the Chargers now
  14. League average is 1.87pts per drive. We are averaging 1.88 pts per drive. So, we may have a bad red zone offense, but, at least we're getting to the red zone to get those field goals.
  15. The joke went over your head
  16. I dunno, it's pretty hard to maintain and/or get new jobs with criminal records, especially felonies. Businesses want people who are reliable, not people that might end up in prison.
  17. ESPN updated http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings/_/week/3 #12 I'm kinda nervous about how fast we're moving up some of these charts
  18. It's based on stats/metrics that are very wobbly early in the season. Chargers give up 5.6 yards per carry... this could work well for us, as long as we can actually open up some holes for our RBs.
  19. If we don't lose ToP in a major way, I see us as being very much in the game. It'll all depend on if our defense can get off the field.
  20. I'm so glad TBD has avatar size restrictions, and no image signatures.
  21. If we were on the road, or in a neutral environment, I see the Chargers having their way with us. BUT, at the Ralph, this team has been pretty good. Hopefully the crowd shows up with loads of noise and excitement, and we can squeeze one out. 24-23 - Bills win.
  22. "A weekly look at what the Bills must fix:" It's a weekly series on the blogs, for what it's worth. It's not Rodak picking on the Bills... this time. Dolphins: http://espn.go.com/blog/miami-dolphins/post/_/id/9999/quick-fix-dolphins-running-backs Patriots: http://espn.go.com/blog/new-england-patriots/post/_/id/4768233/the-film-dont-lie-patriots Jets: http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york-jets/post/_/id/43157/quick-fix-jets-pass-defense
  23. Just seeing the replays... During our redzones, when we play conservative and don't force it (especially when up already), fans here scream about not being aggressive.... Last night, the Colts chose to be aggressive instead of taking a field goal, which would put them up two scores, with about 4 mins to go in the game. Instead, they throw the INT, and the Eagles win. As boring as conservative is... sometimes it wins games.
