  1. That is not what I'm saying. I'm saying there is usually one or two teams that make the playoffs every year with a questionable QB. It's just never us. So it's more than 'just get a good QB'.
  2. I'm in the same boat. I assume we'll win a few games that will, unfortunately, sell me on the possibility of playoffs, but we'll just come up small again. I'm kind of at a point where I don't even want to bother watching the games anymore after 15 years of the same thing. The whole 'we need a QB' excuse is nonsense, though. Plenty of teams have made the playoffs over the years with bad/mediocre QBs. We just suck as a franchise.
  3. My uneducated opinion is mostly rushing 4, and focus on cutting off passing lanes and getting your hands up, and cutting off quick crossing routes/picks. It'd take a major amount of discipline, essentially the idea is to get your hand on the ball as much as possible to hopefully cause some turnovers.
  4. I'm actually surprised the respective parties don't control their debates, have their own moderators and everything, and then just sell the media rights.
  5. Actually that's all he can do. The rest is up to the coaches.
  6. That was heart breaking.
  7. They wouldn't be on the roster if Whaley and Rex weren't on the same page... or are you saying they are on the same page?
  8. Sucks for him, but helps our wild card chances, ever so slightly. :|
  9. Tell me how Rex and Whaley are not on the same page?
  10. Whaley has put together a hell of a team. There's only 5-10 good QBs in the league, everyone else is mediocre to bad. If he was the main guy on the Rex hire, and we continue to disappoint in coaching, then maybe I look at Whaley, but I wouldn't be surprised if Pegula was the big decider there.
  11. I hate this so much. I don't wear my Bills gear much because of stuff like that... also stuff like "man, I'm rooting for you guys, you deserve it after all this time, etc" I DON'T WANT YOUR PITY
  12. Even with cheating allegations, they are still the best. That's the annoying part... they don't need to cheat to win, but the culture is so obsessive, that they do.
  13. There really is no such thing as a sure thing QB, imo. College and NFL games are pretty different, and then it's a crap shoot if a young QB will develop in whatever system they're drafted into. The first few years in the NFL are the most important in development, if that gets screwed up, the QB is going to flounder. This whole 'plug a QB in day 1 and expect them to win right away' thing is getting pretty messed up, and I think we're starting to see the results of it.
  14. They're certainly playing a lot better, and have plenty of talent on paper. If they lose to the Pats, I'm not going to write them off, the Pats are just better than every other team in the league, like usual.
  15. I hate you for being so frustratingly accurate.
  16. If I was an NFL player, I don't think I'd bother having social media accounts, at least not public ones. You probably have a lot of real life friends, no reason to use the internet to socialize, nothing good can come of it.
  17. Because Johnson is new to our playbook, and some guy off the street is even newer, and frankly outside of a HORRIFIC few minutes, EJ did ok last week. This is not me saying he's good. This is me saying I'd rather stick with the guy we have and know, and gameplan around that, vs some random unknown. But I know that doesn't fit the narrative, so I'll make it my last post on the subject.
  18. Without gifs/clips these all-22 reviews aren't nearly as good. Thanks Roger.
  19. I'm fine with EJ. Yes, I said it. He **** the bed for 5 minutes last week, but also had us in a position to win. I certainly trust him more than Johnson or some guy off the street.
  20. We went through this with EJ (and still do to an extent) It's much too early to get into comparisons... he's 3-2, has had a couple good games, a couple games where he struggled, it'll take a long time to truly figure out if we have something, imo.
  21. Is it bad that I kinda miss the guy? I've grow tired of Rex's schtick, he seems like a fun guy and all, but that does not make a coach successful.
  22. I do think penalties should be reviewable, and fall under the same review limits currently in place. Of course it'd depend on a ref admitting they're wrong, but they do that currently... sometimes.
  23. Frustrating thing is, as a team, the Bills are ranked 10th in QB rating, and 7th in opponents QB rating. We should be winning more games. It basically all comes down to a handful of bone headed plays a game.
