[closed]Bills players aren't angry about captains..?
dayman replied to Thrivefourfive's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Weekly captains make sense. Everyone knows who the real leaders are...naming capatains sets a theme and adds some little meaning to each week. In an extra big week ...you name the real leaders. If he wants to troll the Jets then so be it. -
Lets see how we play against the Jets. Until we are finally KO'd there is always the chance for the defense to hold on and redeem itself.
-
Like I said through osmosis. Bills radio, articles, this place, some random PFF statistic that I hear....I'm not saying I would necessarily know what happened last week but if it were a consistent thing with him it is likely that, with the amount of NFL/Bills stuff I get, I would have heard some good stuff about Woods. I never hear anything at all about Robert Woods.
-
And what I'm saying is, that could be true...but it is more likely that if Robert Woods was consistently wide open all day and nobody ever threw him the ball I would know about it. I don't have the coaches tape and I don't study Woods...but I consume a lot of Bills media. Nobody even talks about him, he is rarely even a topic for discussion.
-
Watching "the tape?" No, are you? I watch the TV broadcast though, he is rarely featured.

Bills 30 for 30 "The Four Falls of Buffalo" to air Dec. 12
dayman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I didn't really live it but I still agree with the other guy. Sick of hearing about it and kind of ready to move on and just focus on the current team...better to pretend this team has no history at this point. -
Percy and Sammy have been hurt pretty consistently so he's had every opportunity and he's had 2 ok games...(1) 60 yrds and a TD while the Pats were curb stomping us, and (2) a solid 84 yrds on 9 catches and a TD in the freak show that was EJ coming back against the Jags in London. It's not reality to suggest Bob has been anything that numbers can defend. He's halfway through his 3rd season and yet he's never been a catches guy, or a yards guy, or a touchdown guy. Someone said he's a blocking guy? Ok...IDK maybe I've seen him throw some good blocks. I guess his defense is that he's played with EJ and now is in Roman's system which isn't WR2 friendly (point guy made above)? I mean...he just isn't showing me anything this year. I have to turn on Woods at some point and it's shaping up to be next offseason the way things are going. I would like to be swayed but his one big day on a crazy London game v. the jags while EJ was out their flailing in desperation to overcome bouts of insanity isn't going to do it on its own.

Do the Bills still go QB in round 1?
dayman replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To me it looks like we can easily go BPA anywhere and be fine. At least in the first 3 rounds. Just hit on them, please. -
That's me too though, I used to love Bob Woods. Really love him. Then the idea of him being some reliable and awesome young counterpart to Sammy faded and now I ... well I don't know what to think anymore. I was just sitting here thinking about the passing game and had the feeling like I won't be excited about the WRs next year unless it has a new #2 that is not on the roster right now.
-
But what does that even mean? Is he really even a #2 guy? He seems to be like...a half-notch above Easley (which makes him depth and someone who should learn special teams). Is he supposed to be in the slot and now he's just failing outside? I mean...I guess I don't really know what a #2 guy is but he seems like a guy who is a non-factor and that doesn't sound like a #2 to me.

IK Enemkpali to be team captain vs. Jets
dayman replied to Wazzu Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have to say this is a fairly obvious point that reveals Rex hated Geno as a player and possibly as a teammate as well. -
I just don't see him much and the one end-around he got last week looked terrible (he looked slow--no explosion and couldn't have looked less dangerous). I don't have the coaching tape...and I have seen a FEW replays of him open (he usually throws a tantrum when he doesn't get the ball). I really don't know what to think about Woods' value as a player. It's hard to say. I'm sure if he were with an all-time great QB he would be better...I'm also sure that most WRs are not and that isn't the way you should measure them. Gentlemen, help me understand how I am supposed to feel about Robert Woods. I really don't know...but I would have a soft-lean right now to take another WR fairly high in the draft.

Jerry Hughes' play > his penalty propensity
dayman replied to DC Greg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He made some game changing plays today. Great day for Hughes. Lets see it more often. And lets get Mario involved maybe too? -
Lets just go out there and load the box and blitz Fitz and if he beats us deep consistently we lose so be it. We all know Fitz...we know you can suffocate him. We'll win if we don't over think this or fear the deep ball that won't hit very often.

The Bills will win today, and it will be convincingly
dayman replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Never underestimate the power of the Dolphins to suck. -
Ben Carson is irrelevant. The polls and this thread just haven't caught up with that yet for some reason....move along folks.
-
He's got to talk about his specific idea for his proposed flat tax, it's passage, and it's actual effect/workability more intelligently IMO. He's supposed to be the smartest man in the room, lets here about taxes in a way that is fleshed out.

Full text of the TPP released:
dayman replied to Deranged Rhino's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
At this point is it not fair to say, regardless of your views, that damage to American credibility outweighs any alleged flaws with the deal? To let this fall apart at the ratification stage, as a nation, would be fairly embarrassing. The purported leaders of the free world, economic powerhouse, business and currency standard of the world....can't negotiate a trade deal credibly. -
Carson's alright I get why he's had success early. His taxation views have been the closest thing to "simplton" that I've seen him express. But I don't know him that well.
-
Based on what I've seen and our current record and tie breakers yes. We're not that good, even if we're healthy we're not world beaters week in and week out. No reason to suspect we will ever actually be healthy this year anyway. Given too many games away. It'll certainly bite us.
-
None of us have any choice but to hope time will cause this to work. Rex isn't going anywhere and neither is the bulk of our front 7. Offense has been a dumpster fire we need to sign some more durable guys that can be expected to ball consistently. I actually like Sammy, Goodwin, and Percy all individually...but as 3 of the top 4 WRs on a team it looks like it can't work that way right now.

Brian Moorman is "leading the charge" vs Miami
dayman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We know him as a great punter in his day. The world knows him as the kicker Sean Taylor destroyed during the probowl. -
The Broncos are undefeated and the Raiders have a better record than us. We're almost certainly done, but I'm not willing to stop rooting against the Raiders just yet. You can add the Jets, Dolphins, Steelers, Chiefs, Chargers, Ravens, Browns, and the entire AFC South to that mix. But you can put the Raiders and Steelers at the top of the line. The best part of this year's fluke w/ all the undefeated is that 3 of the AFC East teams are and have been beating up on others. Other than those teams, there are only 3 teams with 4 wins...we have 3. Dominant teams need to stay that way and everyone but us needs to lose and get hurt (no player specifically, but it's been us so far).
