That they did. The Jets are horrible
-
Not a game ball but Bishop looked….pretty ok! There is hope

It’s about putting games away early and managing game flow better. I’d love to see us start fast, force teams to throw, and let our blitz loose. A few bad bounces could bite us otherwise. It seems obvious that we are capable of this, also. Again—not about today we obviously wanted to run against them, could, and it took their pass rush away.

We’re scoring points, so I can’t complain too much—but doesn’t it feel like we have a lot of predictable 2nd-down runs that go nowhere and start slow? Came back strong vs. the Ravens, but it’d be nice to open things up earlier. Against the Jets it didn’t matter, but I’m still waiting to see more schemed explosive plays in the passing game, especially early. Similar issues as last year. What do you guys think?

9/14/25 Week 2 GAMEDAY Bills @Jets post game Thread

Jets are horrible. Nobody thought otherwise. -
Our offense would be nitro fuel if you added that cancer in though. It would be a Super Bowl—plain and simple.

Ed Oliver in walking boot..per Matt Parrino

This is infuriating. We should just cancel practice. We’re talking about practice. -
so he’s the 8th best rookie in a given year while starting for the Josh Allen ps: we really don’t need to argue both McD and Bean trashed his first season openly this off season … it was not good
-
Keon still has an uphill battle he’s not quick, fast, or even that big. Good game but let’s not crown this guy just yet. Last year was not a good rookie year, even by rookie standards. Not exactly trying to get hyped over the next Gabe Davis

I criticize McDermott like everyone else but building that locker room, while not all on him, doesn’t happen without him. Doesn’t happen without winning either, which is mostly to do with Josh, but my point is let’s give credit where credit is due. McDermott has built a locker room of guys that buy in, listen to him and respect him, play hard and play to win as a team. That’s not a bad coach we have right there. May not be the absolute best on the white board and maybe threw a few goofy red flags and made some mistakes along the way but all in all that’s a guy that will keep us with a pretty damn high floor year in and year out. Happy to have him. He’ll keep us knocking on that door and probably get us a ring one day before Josh retires. Probably a few better coaches out there, but not that many.

Baltimore seems like varsity compared to jv when we’re in D it’s like men and boys -
Feels so hard to build a defense these days for some reason. If only a few of these guys would just ***** pan out
-
Tre didn’t walk on the leg. Without Tre we need another player. Perhaps for many many weeks to start the season. Something something Rasul
-
Does there need to be a rethinking of the basic D?

Whatever the scheme it won’t work with these guys. If everything is perfect and healthy we have a roster that can hang in there. If anyone gets hurt at almost any level it starts to get damn rough real quick. spoiler alert: they’re going to get hurt -
Elam used to command the whole offenses attention as well
-
We’re gong to be very good everyone is just hoping see flashes from new defensive talent and it’s understandable to be disappointed to not see that given it is sort of the perceived barrier between us and the Super Bowl.

Peterman was a gamer I will always respect the guy. He balled when he wasn’t throwing multiple picks, but hey those picks didn’t stop him from throwing more picks! Not even after literally being historically bad in the 5 picks in the 1st half game! He’s the only QB on that list I felt like really tried to be the guy—he just wasn’t the guy. For the record, I think Josh did the exact same thing and just so happened to be the guy (and learn from picks).
-
Maybe Trent, they’re sort of opposites. EJ and JP were definitely not better. Btw, to be clear, I’m in no way arguing that Peterson was ever even capable of playing NFL football just that the rest of the list was also incapable. At least Nate let it rip and made some plays.

Since 2000 the best qb we drafted other than Josh was Nathan Peterman. So there is that… here’s the list: https://thelistwire.usatoday.com/story/sports/2025/01/19/quarterbacks-buffalo-bills-2024-nfl-draft-josh-allen/77832309007/ insane

Oh my freaking God what a train wreck that press conference was—lol. Thanks for posting! I forgot how dark those days really were. That’s like a SNL skit (from when SNL was good). ”I’m not the smartest guy in the room. I’ve never been accused of being the smartest guy in the room.” —Buddy Nix
