  1. To say that Evans doesn't run good routes is laughable. I've never seen that or heard it from anyone. I can't disagree with having a big guy who's open even when he's not and in that sense, Evans isn't a primary guy. But he's reliable. What hasn't been reliable is the Oline, QB play, play calling and overall offensive coaching. You're chopping down the wrong tree.
  2. I know we need help in the lines (1st Priority), but you don't even THINK about WR until you feel good about your QB. Good QB's make household names out of average WRs, not the other way around. I don't care who plays WR for us next year. That's a 2011 draft issue. Maybe 2012.
  3. Amen. It's amazing how much we know compared to guys who have been living the business for football for 30 or 50 years. KW is a good football player. Period.
  4. Pat Kirwan said Bruce Campbell will get killed in the NFL, at least initially. We can't draft a "down the road" kind of guy.
  5. Nix said these guys have TALENT. Thier TALENT is undeniable (except I'm not a big fan of Fitz). You don't get picked in 2 or 3 without TALENT. I don't think anyone can deny that Edwards can make all the throws. Brohm was mocked in the 1st by alot of people a couple of years ago. But lots of QBs have talent. Rob Johnson had talent. Nix didn't say we were set at QB? No. He said we have some talent. WE HAVE NO TALENT AT OT AND NT. None!! The solution sounds simple to me.
  6. As Bradford's health checks out, he will become the clear #1 overall and the Rams will probably sign him before.
  7. Virtually everything I've read say Berry and Haden will be gone. Spiller...at 9?? Hell, if Whitner went at 8, I guess anything is possible.
  8. Ya know...I was going to post something smart like "who is Dan LeFevour?", but you're right. Whether it be LeFevour or another, I'm okay with ANY young QB to compete with who we have.
  9. I live in Long Island because my wife had no interest in living in Bflo. Since neither of us had an opportunity there, how could I argue. Hey.. Gailey is entusiastic and knows that he will be judged as a head coach, by this gig. Glad to have him.
  10. The only way #9 gets traded is if Claussen is still there at #9 and we don't like Claussen. If you're a team who needs an OT, is Bulaga or Davis really that much better than T. Williams or C. Brown that you'll give up your 2nd to get him? Is Morgan that much better than JPP? It's obvious that the best teams build through the draft and there are countless trade ups that have not worked out....Derrick Harvey being the latest. So I think there's little chance of a trade down...unless Claussen is there. Then what do you do??
  11. Suh could play anywhere on our line in any scheme and we'd be better than last year.
  12. If you're serious, that is the dumbest football related thing I ever heard. If you're sarcastic, sorry, it sounds like you're serious.
  13. Gailey was interviewed on Sirius NFL radio this morning. Said a strong armed QB was needed in BFLO. Also said we have a great o-line nucleus, but we need OTs real bad (huh?). Lastly, he confirmed that Schobel is an OLB if he wants to return. Gil Brandt seemed to love CHan Gailey, but maybe that because he agrred to go on the show.
  14. Yeah, because other people garbage is better than ours. Grossman would be here 1 week and people would be clamoring for Billy Volek or Chris Redman. Rich Gannon and Jim Miller were just talking about Edwards. It wasn't a glowing endorsement, but they said he could make all the throws and he has a much bigger upside than Fitz. I can't believe that people are actually pitching Rex Grossman, Matt Moore, Tyler Thigpen over 2 high round draft picks who are not even through their 1st contracts. I need to stop responding to these QB threads. You people are driving me nuts.
  15. I really didn't see a lot of Alabama this year. How did Cody look on the field? I know he played against the SEC. Did he do anything other than just hold his ground? I ask because Nix has told us that WHAT a player has accomplished on the field will be the determining factor in the people he drafts.
  16. As opposed to what we have, he would be hard to move, no matter what he's made out of. That being said, if he's a punk, take the next fat guy.
  17. Only if we trade down in the 1st, picking up an extra 2nd.
  18. Combine interviews will determine where this guy is taken. If he act like a cocky knucklehead, it'll be hard to ignore the fat.
  19. I pass too.....unless he can stop the run.
  20. It's just his opinion. I don't read the guy often, but if he didn't add a little "sauce" to his opinion pieces, they would not be read. I love how many experts there are on QB mechanics. I think he was in the Heisman "team photo" 3 times. His team, for the most part, dominated offensively against superior competition and under his direction. We're I his coach, I'd be more afraid to screw him up than to prepare him for "Combine Experts". What did he do???? That should be the primary driver for our picks. Not how. Otherwise, you end up with Maybins and Flowers.
  21. Marv used to say when a guy starts talking about retirement, he already has. Can this be applicable to Schobel?
