  1. The draft is loaded with big uglies. We'll pick our starter in the 2nd or 3rd round. Maybe as late as the 4th. Our NT will come from this draft.
  2. Why trade Whitner, Lynch and a QB? We need depth at safety, RB and the QB we trade will probably be the wrong one...that is...the right one for AZ. Trade those guys and we're hoping our extra 4th or 7th rounders can replace our former high pick. You build a team by KEEPING the most talented and we don't have the amount of talent that we can trade our good guys. Stop with the "all change is good" fantasy trades.
  3. Consider the possibility that the Bills have a plan that doesn't involve signing veteran bandaid who will be retired by the time the rest of the presumedly young team matures. Why are you guys going for this desperate leap to mediocrity? Jamal Williams doesn't get the Bills to the playoffs. Especially during this FA year, save your big dollars to spend on your own FAs next year. I, for one, love the inactivity.
  4. Hardy and Johnson give you physicality.
  5. Because Torry Holt is a consummate pro. Mike Sims-Walker said on Sirius that Holt taught everything about how to be a good pro and Sims-Walker did well in his 1 year with Holt. You can never have enough players like Holt and he's younger than TO, so why not? We don't need a burner. We need slants and outs and Holt can do that.
  6. Find the 2010 model for your 4th rounder.
  7. I think it's a really bad draft. Campbell look like Tarzan, play like Jane. Spikes is an inside backer where we already have Poz and Mitchell. So you're 2 picks in with no starters until and if Campbell reaches "potential". It's just bad.
  8. Dunno who you are, but you flushed all credibility down the toilet. Arizona only brought him in because they have exactly 1 QB on the roster. Charlie Whitehurst. Do you really think Charlie Whitehurst is THE answer. If not, we have enough questions to even bother.
  9. Hard to argue with the turnstile thing, but that line dn give up sacks because of Manning. The ball is always out quickly. With our guys, do you have confidence that this guy can be THEE guy out there? I don't. And I do recall Polian's comments after the SB were not all that flattering to the oline. I think we'd regret giving up a 2 for Charlie Johnson when Jason Fox and others will be there. It's a pretty deep draft for the big uglies.
  10. Just because he played for the Colts. He's garbage. The Colts were dead last in running the he ball and he was part of that equation. Without Manning, he's much worse.
  11. I was just in Tennessee and , apparently, it is legal to carry a concealed weapon...even in a BAR. I don't fault Lynch or Plaxico for their "crimes". Who did they hurt? Ben? Good post. This guy might be the devil, but certainly appears to have the benefit of the doubt on his side.
  12. I think people would B word if NE signed him...saying there's a perfectly good verteran DE who has played in a 3-4 before and we did nothing to go after him. He may not be great, but decent is a start.
  13. Now everyone's an expert on O-Line. I've never heard of him. But, if he's good enough to hang around the NFL FOR 10 YEARS, he's better than the bartenders and furniture movers we had playing tackle last year. He probably received a Clark bar as a signing bonus, so he only makes his money if he makes the team. Please experts, explain to me how this can be a bad signing.
  14. No way. 2nd rounder. And he's worth it. People have picked QB's in the 2nd and even the 1st round on a much worse body of work. Don't buy the negative hype.
  15. WOW!! You either really think alot about yourself or discount the football knowledge it takes to becomea borderline HOF WR. Andre Reed could probably tell you exactly what the QB's footwork should be for every route he ran. He could tell you where the blitz was going to come from and whether the throw should be inside or outside shoulder. On a daily basis, I am sure Andre Reed evaluated many QBs such as Reich, Collins, Van Pelt...on down the line. Don't kid yourself. Just because you watch football and have an opinion doesn't make you a "football guy". Andre Reed doesn't need to watch the game to know it does no QB any good to be tentative in your commitment to a starting QB. Since he's been there and seen it from his and other teams, I'll assume his opinion stinks less than mine.
  16. I am sure Buddy Nix is not worries what Justin LaConfora thinks.
  17. Obviously, Reed is well qualified to make that statement and it's worth more than what the media or what the parrots on this site may say.
  18. The interesting thing is the talk how Percells "got by" with these QBs. Testeverde and Bledsoe were #1 overall picks.... Simms, Pennington...all #1 picks. He knows you need talent there, just like everywhere.
  19. I can't think of anyone who has been signed in FA that we missed out on. Nix's patience is justified.
  20. I hear you. And I want solid QB play too. But championship teams have good play everywhere. From the Oline, defense, special teams. And the Bills have so many holes, to focus on 1 position, even QB, and especially this year is just ludicrous. If Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White or Anthony Munoz are available at 9, should we forego them to take Cade McNown?? How many threads can we start about the QB position (and I know I started one) when we don't have EITHER an offensive OR defensive line??
  21. Okay. I am convinced. We don't even need a line. Or a defense. I think we should just hire 5 fat guys off the street and draft ALL QBs this year. Only then will we made the appropriate commitment to the position. Nevermind that it's a weak class. Just do it. Keep all we draft and release everyone we have, because they suck. How many different ways can you have the same conversation?
