  1. If we don't take him, I think he WILL end up with the Pats. Why? Because it COULD add to the Belichick genius thing.
  2. Yeah, they had issues....However, are you telling me Stroud gets a pass?
  3. Wow. I don't know where to start. In fact....it's just too much.
  4. I just couldn't believe how much I saw him out near the hash marks...and not by his choice. And if he was so good, why did RBs routinely get to the 2nd level up the middle? and why did we have one of the worst run defenses in the league? For a man his size, he just doesn't seem to impose his will on a consistent basis. I'm open to him being a dominant DE, but I am not optimistic.
  5. He's not tough enough to play the middle. Is it me or is everyone disappointed in this guy?
  6. All day. He's a solid player.
  7. If they draft Spiller, I will put my foot thru yet another TV.
  8. As much as I like Tebow, there are enough questions about him to drop him into the 2nd. If we take him at 9, it would shock everyone.
  9. I apologize to all fat guys, er, nose tackles in the NFL. Is it really a "gross" oversimplification? If you have a NT, regardless of fat content, that cannot be moved where the the oline wants to move him, isn't that the point in the 3-4? They generally don't make tackles. They don't shoot gaps or rush the passer. Their primary responsibility is to hunker down and clog it up so the lbs can make plays. I submit you can find that kinda guy in the 3rd round.
  10. I guess you're right. A NT's job is much more complex than a starting QB. You really put me in my place. The thing about Tebow that is hard to ignore is: Over 130 Touchdowns, 16 interceptions...in the SEC. If you remove the name, the hype and all the negative media crap and I told you we just spent a 2nd rounder on 130 TDs, 16 interceptions in the SEC...you'd say "good pick". But because Mike Mayock and Nolan Nawrocki say he has a long delivery, YOU discount his incredible career. Flutie threw an ugly ball, yet was successful. Tarkington, Jurgenson, McMahon..Nobody would confuse their spirals with Drew Brees. What you want to know is: Is Tebow accurate? Career 67% completion rate and he had a QB rating in the stratosphere. Don't buy the bad hype. Dunno if he'll be a great NFL player, but, based on everything that is important, he's an excellent prospect.
  11. I hear you. But there's no way SD is going to give up a dominant WR or a potentially dominant pass rusher (even w/ injury) for a 2 time loser who is 1 strike away from at least an 8 game ban. Lynch and Whitner are worth more to us than anyone else.
  12. Holy COW!!! I didn't even think of the Wood, etc. Thanks for the laugh. God is that funny!
  13. Because Marcus Stroud is a big, well, MEOW. I think he's horrible. He can't anchor and will get moved by the slightest whiff of a block. The sooner he's obsolete, the better we'll be.
  14. Delhomme comes to Bflo, it will prove these new guys are clueless, which I don't believe they are.
  15. You already have 3 veteran QB's with questionable resumes. How many do you want?? The Bills 4th QB should be a draft pick. PERIOD>
  16. I heard this guy on Sirius interview. He's a good example of how deep this draft is. He may be a 5th rounder. The cool thing about him is that both his parents were Olympians for CHINA. He must be a decent athlete. He's 6'5" and 320 lbs. http://www.hokiesports.com/football/players/wang_ed.html
  17. Doesn't mean anything, but how 'bout Akili Smith scoring an 8.
  18. No...and these panicky threads are getting old.
  19. Vic has to write something or he doesn't get paid. Whatever.
  20. Does it take more skill to play QB to just stand your fat body in the middle and not be moved. We can get the fat guy in the Third. My guess is we go something like Trent Williams, Tim Tebow, Cam Thomas (other fat guy).
  21. He does have a resume. I don't care how he throws it.
  22. My sincere apologies.... I was thrown off when you started that "I would trade" section and Lynch and Whitner were mentioned.
  23. What if they think McClain compares to Ray Lewis and they take his chubby team mate in the 2nd or another NT in the 3rd? I doubt it's going to happen, but if they see Ray Lewis, who cares who else is available?
  24. The inactivity doesn't bother me. Signing those players gets us to 7-9 for the next 3 years. Maybe the lockout has something to do with holding back in free agency. If someone signs a 2 years contract this year and they don't play in 2011, has the contract expired?
