  1. Did he show a couple of flashes. Certainly. Does he show the promise of a consistent NFL starter. Hell no. Well, no more than anyone we have. And boy, you got me with those final 5 weeks. Absolutely everyone threw on the Vikings and he did almost pass for 300 yards (1td). They beat the Giants when their D was in disarray. The great Matt Moore passed for about 200 yards and 1 td per game. So...I guess I take it back. He'd fit right in. And his Panthers beat Mark Brunell, Lynell Hamilton and the vacationing Saints the same way the Bills schooled Curtis Painter and the Colts.
  2. Matt Moore? Really. Matt Moore. Why is it someone else garbage is more appealing than our own? If Matt Moore, or Tyler Thigpen, or Daunte Culpepper for christ sakes...were any better than TE, Ryan Smartypants, or Brohm, my name ain't Nathan Arizona. Seriously...
  3. Conventional thought tells you to forget about this guy. But something just tells me you should at least consider a guy who is indisputably a leader, indisputably a football player and said by many to be the greatest college football player of all time. I wonder what Pat Kirwan, Bob Johnson and others would say about Sonny Jurgenson's mechanics. I'm not a Tebow apologist or anything, but considering WHAT he accomplished, you have to consider him no mater HOW he accomplished it. Absolute no-brainer in the 3rd. My bet is the Pats take him in the 2nd.
  4. This is like a Bugs Bunny cartoon. Franchise QB....Offensive Line... Duck Season...Wabbit Season. They will take the BPA in a position of need. Since the Bills have 4 major areas of need, they will have plenty of options at 9. If they trade up, I'll put my foot through another TV. Thank you Donte Whitner, and Thank you John Fina.
  5. It would be an outstanding pick on a great player in a position of dire need. Most mocks have him going before 15 now, and maybe before 9. I hope we also take his linemate, Kyle Calloway, for RT in the 3rd or 4th.
  6. Attaboy. Screw 'em.
  7. Long Island. Still have season tix. How stupid is that?!
  8. Can anyone name a real talented NT who did eat himself out of the league. Memory fails me.
  9. Would you rather a guy light up the practice, then suck in the game?
  10. IF he was "the guy", is the 2nd or 3rd too much to pay for your projected starting QB?
  11. I've never seen him. Period. But due to us needed 2 OTs and a new defense, I really don't see us taking a QB early. So this guy is in our wheelhouse and I think you have to pay attn to him.
  12. What workout does a QB do, other than throw, that is worth scouting? The boy needs to throw at the combine. Heard it on Sirius NFL. No link. FYI- One of those guys sid he has some Brees qualities, but wouldn't go as far as to predict DL's success.
  13. Read about Colt McCoy. Consider whether his negatives prevent him from being a good NFL QB. He may not be THE franchise, but I liked his bio for a non-1st round guy.
  14. I don't think their scouting is half as bad as their overall team management. When you repeatedly fail to lock up your best players before they hit their FA year, you let all of your hard work walk out the door. P. Williams, Winfield, Clements, Greer, Peters, Leonhard. Every time one of those guys leave, you have to find another guy to replace him.
  15. He and his agent must be really comfortable with his draft status if their going to risk his draft position on a Central Michigan University "pro day". Usually, only the injured or top QB's don't throw because they can only hurt themselves. I'm stunned.
  16. If we're looking for the 1st overall pick next year, that oughta do it. I strongly disagree that Thigpen is an improvement over even Edwards or Brohm. And I hate the idea of picking up a bunch of old guys at the end of their career to go with our youth movement. Where does that put us in 2 years? I say draft your guys and play your guys. Or play our old guys like Schobel. But you don't go throwing around draft picks and FA money to buy yourself a different shade of mediocre.
  17. They have to sign Incognito as "Wood insurance". In addition to out 1st round pick, why not just throw a 4th rounder at Kyle Calloway (Iowa) and be done with the Oline for a few years. Bell and anyone else they have on the roster should be strictly backups.
  18. Haloti Ngata, Ryan Clady and Michael F'n Oher.
  19. 2009 rather.
  20. 2010 - We had 5 on the ground and 2 chasing. Offenses passed the 5-2, as the article said, before Tom Landry was even a head coach.
  21. Edwards must have kicked your dog or something...
  22. I don't think anyone WANTS TE to start. I, personally, would much rather have Drew Brees. It's a realization that he may be the most talented POS we have on our roster...and, even if we draft a hot young rookie, he is likely to watch some veteran QB get wupped for a year. It's easy to say "he sucks". I'm just interested tom see how Gailey takes one of these "he sucks" QBs and makes them suck less.
  23. I don't care either way, BUT DID HE SAY THAT????? Celine Dion?? C'mon...
