  1. It also could be Gettleman told him he was taking Barkley.
  2. Draftjoshallen.com This is compelling.
  3. Pass protection improved as the year went on. That and the Chargers have an outstanding d-line.
  4. If I were the Giants, I'd ask for our Pick 12, next year's first and one of our thirds this year. They're banking on we won't be as good a team next year and they'd get a higher pick in the first round.
  5. Same line we had last year except as quarterback won't hold the ball for the longest in the league.
  6. I don't think so. Darnold's goofy delivery is off-putting I think to McBeane.
  7. This! I believe that's the plan.
  8. And they're doing it splendidly well I'd say.
  9. Now that would be a perfect scenario for me.
  10. You're the belligerent one my friend I get along with everyone and even often calm the convo down. QB is a sensitive topic in these parts and bristling posts beget bristling responses. Clearly we see this topic differently and I am excited for what's to come. I trust you are as well.
  11. Well it certainly has all of us on this board boxing with each other over the quarterback solution. Trade up, trade down, stand-pat, etc. The exciting part for me is we have a FO that seems to have a clue about building a team for the future. And that is pretty damn exciting!
  12. Gosh how swell of you! We compliled picks to grab a franchise QB which haven't had for decades. Much smarter football people than you or I have deemed this an outstanding year to draft a QB. So you're weak-kneed on using our draft capital in a QB rich year. That's fine, maybe you can compile the lists of LBs, DBs or any position that made their team champions. If McBeane deems trading picks to move up, excellent. I'm tired of mediocrity. Hell yes. But I'd rather have the key position locked down to lead us out of suckage. Bad teams with great QBs often contend.
  13. Boo frickity hoo. Here's the world we live in. It's a quarterback-driven league bottom line. You're going to overpay for the position. Second and third round talent will likely go in the first round this year at the quarterback position. So that's the price of admission to the modern NFL. So you're either willing to pay the price or suck.
  14. The OP is right on target. Remember our past GM Marv Levy telling us we have to get better around the quarterback not a quarterback? It just doesn't work.
  15. At the end of the day we need a good quarterback. Free agent retreads and high draft choices haven't worked out for us. We've missed on a couple others. If McBeane thinks these guys are worth trading up I'm all for it.
  16. Right so let's sit our hands for another 17 years and hope something falls our way. Sorry I've heard it before. You can draft all the great players you want but if your quarterback sucks you're going to suck. That's just life in the NFL you have to deal with it. This is the year to get a quarterback.
  17. Ryan Leaf wasn't a bust, he was a dumpster fire! I don't think that's going to happen to this year's crew. However I do think Allen is the most likely to be a bust.
  18. It's going to be interesting. If they do get a Rosen or Mayfield I believe the Rook starts year one. Anybody else it is going to definitely be a bridge. The thing is you don't know until the draft.
  19. Were Wentz and Goff once in a generation QB's or sure things? It's the most important position on the field. You got to roll a dice every now and then. This is our year.
  20. It was cathartic. You may be right about AJ. He'll want starter money and hasn't shown he can do it. That said we don't know his ceiling but we know Tyrod's. If you don't like AJ or Teddy, who's you vet to sign to bridge or back up our rook?
  21. As the Jeffersons would say, Movin' on up To the top five Finally got a QB Who's franchise
