All I want for draft day(s) is
Buffalo Barbarian replied to Cripple Creek's topic in College Football
Is a big DT, LB, a dominant passrusher and WR, need another cover corner too. Wallace is great in zone but terrible in man. -

NFC Slug-Fest: Hawks @ 9ers

I like McFarland but get off of Clowney 's jock. Some other defender makes a play and he circles back to how Clowney "really" made the play. -
WGR-550 Dust-up Today: Schopp vs. Capaccio!
Buffalo Barbarian replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is an Ahole. I thought the same thing when i heard it. Sal is usually right and its not hard when Dopp is the antagonist. Please WGR get rid of mike for Sal. This dweeb hates everything that is manly, i think he might be transitioning. -
He is but he also knows constantly changing gets you nowhere and shows your players you dont know what you're doing.

This team is still a year away

I wanted Metcalf too and Vander Esch and Dexter Lawrence. But we also have good talent on this team just need a little more and hopefully Beane does a little better on the earlier picks. -

you could be right. i wouldn't call it over coaching because Josh does need to know theses things but it may be too much for him right now. He doesn't have that same body language as last year and i think he might be losing some confidence. Also teams are know Josh better and are defensing him accordingly so now Josh and coaches need to help him get to the next level. -

maybe we should scale it back a bit so Josh doesn't have to think too much. It takes years for a QB to be able to see EVERYTHING. -
morally i would agree but McDermott takes notes on himself and reviews them everyday to seek improvements. He likes to be even keeled and so the team doesnt get too high too low and so the team plays that way. So i believe he will find a way to make this team better one way or another.

They picked talented players they just arent doing good enough. Is Josh not talented how about Edmunds, Singletary, knox, white, Oliver , Milano, Dawkins, Ford??? Now these are not all the guys i wanted but to say they picked culture over talent is not true. Especially Oliver with the way he acted last year towards his head coach. They pick guys WITH character and talent, not one over the other. how are the rams and Colts doing this year ??? Oh yeah worse than us. -

the time out was to see what the offense was running, we had time to score we just didn't perform. Yes , players need to excute, Josh needs to throw quicker and WRs need to stop dropping the ball. Players not recognizing the blitz has nothing to do with play calling -

They were trying to go for it the players didn't execute so McD had no choice but to kick. Playcalling is not the problem, execution is. -

Sorry estro but Josh is way better than last year, not hitting the deep ball is maddening but thats all he had last year. Alot of the rookies from last year have regressed while josh has improved. If you think a QB is ready in less than 2 years you are sadly mistaken. Josh was not good in college and the fact he has come this far shows he is improving and there is no reason to believe he will not continue. So franchise QBs happen instantaneously, got it. The more you post the more you reveal you know nothing about football and your comments are not worth considering until you do. so what player's should we bring now to get the brass ring ?? of course they are going to go for it but they dont have the players yet to be real contenders. -

i didn't intend to mean playoffs, i firmly believe we make it this year. I am referring to being real contenders. i agree with everything you're saying. -
Where does the 10th win come from?
Buffalo Barbarian replied to letsgoteam's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Were are getting 12 wins so ... -
The first year was the breakdown of the old regime, last year was the first in the rebuild, this is only year two with a very young core. Next year will be the year we get more talent at key positions and will be where we need to be on better, more consistent playing level. There is a process here and we want it all to go faster but it cant . We have to work with what we have and its going to take time for these players and the next set of players to push this team to the next level Another thing i want to address here about today's game is McDermott made the right decision to kick the FG at the end of the game. Many of you are proclaiming Jauron Ball when in fact McD went for it twice on 4th down earlier in the game and the team FAILED !! What makes you think he should try for it a third time when on this day against this team they couldn't convert on 4th down and the offense overall was inconsistent?? McDermott needs to be confident they will make it and with the way they were playing he could not make that decision and made the right call by kicking the FG and if it was made we then have a chance in overtime. Hauschka was not good today but normally he is, this game maybe showing he is declining but he was our best choice at the time.

Bills problem in a nutshell
Buffalo Barbarian replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So going for it twice on fourth down and FAILING wasnt enough to convince you he should have done it 3 times ?? -
It was fourth and 4and this team hasnt developed the consistency to go for It on fourth down at the end of the game. Did you forget we went for it on 4rth down twice and failed?? What makes you think McDermott would be stupid enough to try it 3 times?? Quite honestly chasing touchdowns when you should be kicking FGs is not the smart way to win. If we make FGs and not turn it over on downs twice we win the game. Granted Hauschka choked too so McD was really in a tough spot and this team still needs more talent, at kicker Oline, WR, Dline and LB.

Colts are in big trouble without a real QB. Miami gave us a hard time but i feel this will be like the Washington game, tough for awhile but we pull away at the end. This team is pissed and that will show next week. They need to develop a pissed off playing style without actually being so, basically be more aggressive and physical.
