  1. As much as we all regularly blast him, we're all going to miss Ralph once he's gone. Say what you will, but he's kept this team in WNY for many, many years, even though bloated offers have probably been placed on his desk. Get well Ralph.
  2. I rarely put too much stock in the preseason; however, to deny there aren't a few troublesome aspects to the Bills' game goes against reason. I've watched most of the preseason games from every team, and that thing that sticks out the most is that Bills' offense is not crisp, and I would have to imagine it's a threefold problem... in this order: 1) wide receivers, 2) Fitz and 3) o-line. No matter how you slice it, the WR issue is going to be a problem all year long. These guys do not have the talent to get open regularly, and that's going to cause Fitz to try and squeeze stuff in that he should not. The guy is not accurate after 15-yards to begin with, so this just worsens it. This quick pass routine can maybe hold-up in the first couple weeks, but when push comes to shove, I don't trust our WRs. Yeah, Stevie will get his 1000 yes this year, but that's mostly due to that fact he's the only viable option Fitz has. And with the WRs being pretty weak this year for the Bills, I just see a domino effect happening... o-line not holding up b/c WRs not getting open, Fitz throwing interceptions, etc. An all-pro WR can change a whole team around, even with a marginally good QB... too bad the Bills just don't have one quite yet. So, with all of that said, run the ball.
  3. Tank is COMPLETELY UNDERVALUED. Buddy is on his game. I love every pick thus far.
  4. They have him graded ar a 82.7 on nfl.com... a steal? http://www.nfl.com/draft/2012/profiles/zebrie-sanders?id=2532943
  5. I love this kid. He will be a starter down the line b/c of his instincts, agility and smarts. He would have been a starter anywhere outside LSU. Buddy knows that. Had he been a starter, he would have been a 2nd rounder. This pick has me excited.
  6. Why b/c Mayock or Kiper says he's not a LT? Get bent.
  7. It would be absolutely insane to get rid of him now. He has the potential of having a monster year considering how much attention our line will be getting now. I'm looking at it as a Bryce Paup situation.
  8. not sure if this was posted, but, tim graham tweeted about williams taking a physical today in buffalo: "For what it's worth, Mario Williams spotted leaving Buffalo Medical Group office this morning. That would seem to be a physical, folks."
  9. Jesus... you cannot evaluate anyone properly w/ 12 carries in a game. The lack of running the ball is not Spiller's fault one bit.
  10. Give him real weapons at WR, and then see what the boy can do. If we had a Calvin Johnson type player on the team, this thread would not exist. And the Pennington comparison is just odd and 100% wrong... look who Chad had to throw to: Cherbet, Coles, S. Moss and Curtis Martin for that matter. Give Fitz those type of players and see what happens.
  11. To deny that injuries haven't affected the season is absurd. Easley was a tremendous loss, as well as Jones, Parrish, and obviously, Jackson and Wood. To lose Merriman, Williams and McGee -- three anchors on D -- probably translates to losing 3-4 big defensive plays a game, which could be anything from a TFL, a timely sack, QB pressure for an incomplete pass, etc. These injuries alone would derail most good teams. I'm not saying our D was anything spectacular, but, they were a middle of the pack defense -- some good games, some bad games -- but a potent enough offense to keep them in contention. But, all of the injuries combined is just too much for any border-line playoff team. Injuries like this make coaches change game plans. The same outcome the Bills are facing would happen to the Jets, Bengals, Denver, Giants, etc. If the Bills do manage to go 8-8 this year or is even competitive in these last few games, I'm, for one, going to be excited about 2012. This year, no matter what, was a step in the right direction.
  12. I saw him pull it out at Wegmans. It was a good size.
  13. Travis will always be number one in my heart.
