  1. Don't think we can hold up against them on either side of the ball: Baltimore: 34 Buffalo: 20
  2. I've liked this guy for several years now... saw him up close a few years back during a preseason game and he looked better than anyone else on either side of the ball... he really stood out. Granted, it was against second and 3rd stringers, but, nonetheless it appeared the guy could play and develop. The same thing happened today. I hope he finds a home this year with us and stays HEALTHY, because his upside is looking good.
  3. This makes more sense now. High-paced offense w/ speedsters with a guy who can get them the ball down the field. I like.
  4. It's probably a combination of factors: 1) OBD being conservative in their approach and not wanting to over spend; 2) the FA's they have approached are not sold on the new administration, especially on the offensive side and 3) OBD will see what holes they after the draft and will address them afterwards b/c there are still a ton of FA's out there.
  5. Agree w/ some of that, but some of the blame has to go to Chan as well. The guy rarely came out in the 2nd half w/ new looks or adjustments on offense.
  6. Say what you will, but, the Titans may have the best back-up QB in the league right now.... and he will help develop their young QB. VERY smart move on their end, and he makes their team better.
  7. I think it will eventually happen. There's way too much money to make not to do this in B and C markets.
  8. Actually, using "A's" is grammatically correct. It's even in the article you linked: "When discussing a single letter in the plural form, one always adds an apostrophe."
  9. We don't need a guy like Kolb. He's an average QB and could be a stopgap, but, he's been pretty brittle... not sure if it's b/c of his size, strength or his O-line letting him killed back there, but, like in most cases, it's a combination of all three.
  10. Nice work on this. Couldn't agree w/ your evaluation any more.
  11. Looks like Dustin Keller to Dolphins: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/eye-on-football/21868035/report-dustin-keller-taking-physical-with-dolphins
  12. Has more to do w/ the $$ doled out. Talented guy, yes... but, guard is a position that can be replaced far easier than LT.
  13. This guy was signed b/c 1) Pettine likes him b/c he's a 3-4 guy but can do 4-3, if needed; 2) he is 100% undervalued and comes w/ a light contract and 3) he's the kind of player the analytics department is going to keep on signing b/c he rarely makes mistakes on the field. Be prepared for more signings like this.
  14. Sign him. Draft a QB this year or next. This could a good stopgap that can keep us somewhat competitive.
  15. I have always liked Troy... have to be honest on that one. There's nothing wrong w/ inviting him to training camp and seeing if the kid can actually hack it.
  16. Well, at least he's only 27. If anyone can get something out of him defensively, it's Pettine... and my guess is that he saw something in Leodis that's worthy and gave his endorsement. Don't see the Bills making a move like that w/out long tape review from the D Coordinator.
  17. Jesus... really? Arguing for the sake of arguing. Dumb and over it.
  18. So, Kelly wasn't a top 6 QB during his prime? Do we need to look at his SB stats or the team's SB record? That's just a very narrow minded approach. The whole game doesn't just hinge on the QB.
  19. He's one of the best right now -- that's what I said. Stats don't lie when you're completing almost 70% of your passes, especially w/ a horrid run game.
  20. To answer your question: Look at his last 3 seasons.... http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/R/RyanMa00.htm. He had a 68.6 completion percentage last year. He's one of the best in the league right now, and he's only 27. His rating has improved every season in the last four. How can you argue a 99 rating? Jesus, this topic is stupid.
