  1. Seeing Bledsoe throw those beauty long balls.... wow... haven't seen that w/ the bills since.
  2. Bill Polian got a raw deal in Indy, just like he did in Buffalo. The guy is a jerk, but, at this point, who cares? I want him to be our jerk. He's a winner, makes bold/smart moves and doesn't take losing as an option. Do any of us really think that if he was still here we'd be in this 10-year drought with garbage play on both sides of the ball? Probably not.
  3. This team might be vying for a playoff berth if Vick was the QB. He has a rocket arm, and give him even average protection, he can ignite an offense. He's not the most accurate QB, but I'd take his 59% w/ his running ability over Fitz' 62% any day of the week. That's what, I think, people are seeing.
  4. We wouldn't be having this convo if Spiller would have seen 25 touches or if Moorman was still punting. D played well enough to win vs. Indy.
  5. I've been mum on the whole Mario thing since the signing, but the guy will produce 12 sacks a year, if healthy, for the next 5. If we ever get an LBs that can blitz well, it could be more. I like the investment and we are seriously 3 players (and a DC) away from being a formidable D.
  6. He's been getting more solid each week. I like him.... he's a gamer.
  7. I think you have to compare Fitz to other QBs in the league, like Brady, Brees and company. Look, if NE didn't get lucky and draft Brady (and also Bledsoe's injury), they would have been a good to mediocre franchise for the past decade. Their defense has been been up and down for 10 years, they've never really had a star RB, and their WRs and TEs have had inflated numbers because of 1 player... Tom Brady. Even if we didn't have a top 5 QB, but more of a Schaub or Romo type player, this team would fair much better. Fitz is an amazing backup. If we had a solid #1, I would view Fitz as a better option that Reich two decades ago -- even perhaps the best backup in the league, and that's important. To get rid of him is not wise, but to move him as backup next year and possibly acquire a legitimate QB or draft a potential starter is the way to go.
  8. I like the move for depth purposes on both the line and for the LB corp. To say, it's bush league to resign a player you cut is BS. They needed depth and the guy has been w/ the organization for a couple of years, meaning that he's at least familiar w/ some of the playbook and the staff. That's really important. It's a better move 7-weeks in than finding someone else out there to fill that void who has ZERO history w/ the team. If you're unhappy w/ the signing, so be it, but, you CANNOT convince me that this signing will hurt the team at all.
  9. Personally, I'd like to see behind-the-scenes footage from the Bills' preseason. Nix would be a gem on TV... people love those down-home country quotes.
  10. I was being kinda conservative... w/ Calvin, Andre, Julio, Roddy, Jennings, Welker, Fitzgerald, Cruz, Nicks, etc. in the league and playing at elite levels, being in the top 8 is with some great company.
  11. Moulds had a some Andre Johnson in him; problem was QB for him while he was there. Outside of Bledsoe, he had very little support in that department, and still put up respectable numbers. Let's say he was in his 3rd year in 2012, and how the league is now, he'd probably be a top 8 receiver.
  12. I personally think they have something special in Mallett. The little I've seen, I like. The guy has some zip on his throws...
  13. Don't forget, Easley looked great last pre-season before he became ill. Personally, I'd hate to see him go. I still think next year will be Johnson, Graham, Easley, Jones.
  14. I have always liked Branch. Wouldn't mind him as our 2nd.
