If Spiller fails this week...
dpberr replied to John Cocktosten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He won't fail. Probably the opposite. He runs over the Jets. Propels the Bills into the playoffs while Jackson is sidelined. This board is daring the football gods to be benevolent this holiday with the CJ>FJ and FJ>CJ watch the board burn debate. -
It will be our luck that Spiller goes Walter Payton on Sunday and the Monday morning headlines read "Running Back Controversy in Buffalo? Should Jackson Get a New Deal?"
-
Better have a heavy dose of McIntyre and Chandler/and Smith to go along with CJ. Isn't Lee Smith supposed to be good at run blocking?

Kamar Aiken WR signed to 53 man roster
dpberr replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched quite a bit of Aiken in college following a friend's kid who played for Memphis. I'm a fan from what I saw, and I was delighted he fell to the Bills as he was one of the best receivers in the draft. Super strong, great hands. UCF, and Aiken especially, saw a lot of press coverage and he often beat it. -
Use Misdirection Against The Jets Defense
dpberr replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's hope Gailey gets this message. I think all of you have relevant points about our stale offense. -
I think Dareus is this generation's Warren Sapp. Dareus will be an absolutely dominant lineman with reinforcements behind him. I wouldn't change the pick.

What's the Difference between 2008 and 2011?
dpberr replied to Sniper's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beat the Jets, and then I'll believe you, Mr. Mystery Guest. You and your teammates don't need any more reasons to go out, impose your will, and win this game. -
Kamar Aiken WR signed to 53 man roster
dpberr replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The decision to promote Aiken to the 53 man roster is what just won the Jets game. I feel he's that good. He should have been at WR2 out of camp. He will be the receiver that Fitzpatrick and Johnson need. -
Walter Football Draft prediction: WR??
dpberr replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Draft defense, get your WR help through free agency. -
Bills Could Avoid Most of Fitz's New Deal
dpberr replied to judman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think signing and then turning around and suddenly cutting players isn't going to make Buffalo an attractive place for free agents. While you can do this sort of thing in Madden, it's toxic insofar as business relationships go and the Bills have more than enough challenges landing free agents already. -
Bills Could Avoid Most of Fitz's New Deal
dpberr replied to judman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't dump Fitz. Upgrade the WRs with proven WR talent as an appropriate investment in your QB and offense. No rookies or practice squad guys or feel good stories. 2012 will have some very good talent available. -
Time to bring back the traditional offense
dpberr replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills can't go heavy on the shotgun this week. I'm worried when I read Urbik has practiced most of the snaps out of the shotgun formation. The Jets will be able to diagnose the plays almost instantly. And Spiller without McIntyre isn't going to scare the Jets. -
Time to bring back the traditional offense
dpberr replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. I'd love to know why the Bills continually try to make positions on a football team extinct. I'd run the Jets to death again like the Broncos did. Run and pound away at them. -
Why I think we will beat the Jets..
dpberr replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While I'd love to share your optimism, I don't have optimism in Gailey coming up with a different game plan. If he goes into the this Jets game with the same ol' same ol', the demolition will be twice as brutal. It was the Jets who figured us out. -
I'd go sign Hank Fraley today and bring in Gilyard, Gage, Randle El and Clowney for a look-see.

It was one of the biggest criticisms when he was at Tech and I'm convinced that the problem has resurfaced in Buffalo. He violates one of the larger nuggets of wisdom from the Most Interesting Man in the World when it comes to play calling. Find out what it is in life that you don't do well....and then don't do that thing."
-
I see ego being part of the problem. Not for the players, but Gailey. What teams get blown out three games in a row? Predictable ones. Gailey's belief in his coaches and his schemes are beyond what they've delivered the past couple weeks and this is what started happening in his Dallas and GT stops. Refusal or slow to adapt to changing conditions and opponent strategies. Get game tape on Gailey and you are set. You need to fire or demote Edwards immediately, get a true free agent center and some replacement WRs, and switch up your play calling. The NFL game is about out-adjusting your opponent and that's on him to do. The Bills are predictable. If we as fans know what plays are coming, you know for sure the experienced coordinators and coaches on the other side of the field have game planned for every move.
-
It'd be nice if the front office would go out and get some WRs and perhaps a C this week instead of screwing around with practice squad guys who've played as many NFL games as we all have. I'm not going to be amused if Gailey uses Levitre at Center again. It didn't work. Do something else. It is shocking that despite us being nuked from near earth orbit the last three weeks, we are still in it. Should KC pull off something big tonight, it will indeed tell me the cosmic forces for a Bills playoff berth are not only aligned but refuse to go away despite our best attempts.

The Official "I Still BILLIEVE THREAD"
dpberr replied to EldaBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Me too. I think I'm done for the year watching their games. I'm going to go enjoy my holidays. If they don't fire George Edwards by Monday night, there's no point in watching the rest of the games. -
Jets get at bye & 10 day lay off vs Buffalo in 2011
dpberr replied to r00tabaga's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Broncos gave the Bills the game plan to beat the Jets last night. Run it and punch them in the mouth. Time and time again and run over Revis. I see the Jets layoff working to the Bills advantage. The days upon days of withering media and fan criticism won't motivate. You throw in Buffalo and New England wins this weekend, and I bet some of those Jets players start packing it in. I see it with Philadelphia living in the Eagles media market. The unfortunate thing to the layoff is that LT and Greene get healthy. -
PFW - The Bills' cornerback woes

You think giving Aaron Williams a start would make a difference? -
Is Tebow turning the NFL upside down?
dpberr replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If anything, it shows you can run on teams in the NFL built to defend the pass. It's the stone cutter offense. Beat them until they break with a running attack. (A Stone cutter swings away at a rock pounding it 100 times without so much as a crack appearing in it. On his 101st strike, the rock shatters.) -
Do you honestly care about sports?
dpberr replied to Jim in Anchorage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I follow my teams and that's about it. I followed MLB more this year than years past because the Pirates were competitive for the first half the season. Once they were no longer in the hunt in the NL Central, I stopped following baseball. I follow the Spurs in basketball but I think the NBA has gotten pretty awful and what it needs is a year off. -
I want playoffs. The AFC is wide open. I really don't care how we get there.
